I've written a series of blog posts, in which I write a #bytecode #compiler and a #virtualMachine for arithmetic in #Haskell. We explore the following topics in the series:

- Compiling ASTs to bytecode.
- Interpreting ASTs.
- Efficiently executing bytecode in a VM.
- Disassembling bytecode and decompiling opcodes for debugging and testing.

- Benchmarking our code to see how the different passes perform.
- All the while keeping an eye on performance.

Idea: a keyboard with two buttons.

Button one starts it typing "the quick brown fox" or one of those every-lettwr strings (maybe a random.one?), with a long-enough delay between characters.

Button two is backspace. For the characters you don't want.

The Extended Density (ED) 3.5-inch Microfloppy was an advance on the HD version, with improved oxide coatings that offered 2.88 MB of storage.

SCOOP: A man who worked on developing hacking and surveillance tools for Western defense contractor L3Harris Trenchant was notified by Apple that his iPhone was targeted with mercenary spyware.

The developer believes he was targeted after he was wrongly accused of leaking zero-days developed by Trenchant.

This may be one of the first documented cases of a zero-day maker being targeted with spyware.
