Through an analysis of 10 months of nationwide searches on Flock Safety's servers, we discovered that more than 50 federal, state, and local agencies ran hundreds of searches through Flock's national network of surveillance data in connection with protest activity. In some cases, law enforcement specifically targeted known activist groups, demonstrating how mass surveillance technology increasingly threatens our freedom to demonstrate.

글로벌 매노스피어의 유독한 언어의 토양은 이미 게이머 커뮤니티에 그 이전부터 깔려있던 게 맞습니다. 그 이전의 시점으로 되감아봐도 그들은 맘에 들지 않는 다른 플레이어를 '년'을 섞은 욕설로 후드려 패고 있었습니다. 그들은 당연히 *일찌감치* 여성혐오에 물들어 있었습니다. 여기에 대해서 반론한다면 그건 대단히 멍청한 소리일 겁니다. 하지만 그렇다고 이 시점에 그 기름통에 '불이 던져졌음'을 떼고 이야기하면, 사실관계 레벨에서 인식이 틀어집니다. 그들이 무의식적으로 행하던 '대립'에 '이름과 서사가 붙은' 시점이니까요.

I made a tally of the total planned AI data centre capacity in Scotland and I am a bit shocked: it amounts to 7.3 GW, which is as much as the entire energy consumption of Scotland, electricity + gas in 2023.

To spend as much energy on "AI" as the entire need of a country is madness. And I have no doubt that this picture would scale if I did it for the entire UK etc.

Today I learned that the Japanese have deep fried autumn maple leaves, and as a Canadian my first reaction was "why haven't we done this too?" Sure, we have maple sugar maple leaves, but it's not the same.

특히 당시에 참 착잡했던 광경 중 하나는 "남성혐오란 성립하지 않는다" 라는 여성학계의 분석을 가져다 쓰는 것이었습니다. 미리 말해두지만, 전 해당 분석 페이퍼에 거의 전적으로 동의합니다 : 구조적 폭력 앞에 저항으로써 목소리를 내는 사회 현상이 미소지니의 대칭항으로 규정되는 것은 원리적으로, 구조적으로 불가능합니다. 사회학의 문법에서 말이죠. 그런데 이걸 가져가서 '자 이제부터 널 가열차게 멸시할건데 이건 폭력이 아니란다' 로 쓰는 건 아주 공공연한... 굳이 목격자를 찾으러 돌아다닐 필요도 없는 선명한 기억입니다.

I think *you specifically* could make some decent income selling documentation that is intentionally formatted to be optimized for LLM context. I’ve seen you point out a number of “automated” attempts at this as being flawed but I think there’s a good market out there for highly polished docs written by experts that are intended for agents and their operators.
