Israeli forces fire artillery in southern Gaza

The Israeli army has shelled the eastern areas of Khan Younis city with artillery.

After the attack, Israeli military vehicles could be seen entering the south of Gaza’s second-largest city.

More than 300 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds wounded in about 400 Israeli ceasefire violations recorded by Gaza’s Government Media Office since the October 10 truce.

New Israeli ground invasion

Dozens of families were displaced from the Tuffah and Shujayea neighbourhoods in eastern Gaza City after Israeli soldiers suddenly returned to areas they withdrew from when the truce began on October 10.

Israeli forces advanced about 300 metres (1,000 feet) into the two neighbourhoods on Wednesday, detonating explosive-filled vehicles and firing artillery, witnesses said.

you know what the most cursed thing is about riscv? the assembly format lacks semantic consistency.

this is how they write the load and store instructions:

lw a0, 4(sp)
sw a0, 4(sp)

the first one loads a word from the memory address sp+4 into register a0. the second one stores the word from register a0 into the memory address sp+4. so the first one assigns right to left, and the second assigns left to right.

cursed.

The ACA/Obamacare is by no means perfect, but it's been game changing for those with "preexisting conditions" who lacked good employer-subsidized care.

We will soon add the fact that we can't provide stable, affordable health care coverage to the list of self-inflicted national wounds.

‘A massacre in slow motion’

Even as Israel’s bombardment has slowed during the ceasefire, its severe restrictions on humanitarian assistance means famine will keep killing Palestinians, an analyst warns.

Alex de Waal has spent more than 40 years studying famine and war crimes. He spoke to AJ+ about how Israel purposely kept on the edge of for months on end.

Israel’s starvation will be felt by Palestinians for generations – physically, biologically and societally, de Waal said.

First, sorry about not posting an update yesterday after surgery, but it lasted about eight hours and I was really out of it afterwards.

Second, the surgery was successful (thank Dog for robotic pull through!) but I needed two small skin grafts. Which means I’m confined to bed rest and as little movement as possible until Tuesday afternoon, a full five days, to give the grafts their best chance to “take” and begin healing.

Third, I’m not in too much pain now unless I move the “wrong” way or I cough or sneeze. Those actions are definitely unpleasant, oh yeah. Otherwise pain is mild. I’m even able to sleep okay except when I’m woken for medications, taking vitals or emptying my various drains. Something that seems to happen every half hour to an hour.

Fourth, thank you all for the wonderful and kind well wishes. They mean so much to me. Unfortunately, it’s not easy for me to respond personally to them now as typing this message on my phone took waaay too long. So please know that I love and appreciate you.

UN: Nearly one million Palestinians displaced across Gaza

Nearly one million people in Gaza are living across 862 displacement sites as of November 10.

About 80,000 are sheltering in UNRWA sites and surrounding areas.

The Israeli government continues to impose severe restrictions on humanitarian aid into the enclave, including on temporary shelters needed to replace tents for tens of thousands of Palestinians who face cold winter rains.
