Codeberg has over 200k accounts and only 1.2k members, which, if we assume that the recommended membership fee is the average, works out to ~50k€ per year in membership dues.

They’re asking for old hardware to run CI jobs, because they can’t just go out and buy a Mac Mini.

Given that money is involved, I think that I have to correct a nuance regarding our blog post (personal opinion) so as to not have people feel misled: We are generally very frugal and tend to prefer upcycling hardware that would otherwise be useless as a _matter of principle_. It's also why we chose to promote another non-profit that repurposes hardware to those in need.

R8과 A7C를 비교하면 조작성 면에서, A7C2 상대로는 가격면에서 R8이 우위에 있음. RF 렌즈군이 적긴 한데 이 가격대 바디에서 쓸 렌즈 정도는 다 있고. 20-70 F4는 없지만. ㅋㅋ;

In our daily lives empathy and humility are obvious virtues we aspire to. They keep our egos in check. Less obvious is that they're practical skills in the workplace, too. I think, for developers and technical leaders in particular, that the absence of ego is the best way to further our careers and do great work.

캐논 R8은 저가형에 R6M2의 센서와 프로세서를 줬고 대신 배터리, 뷰파인더, IBIS, 듀얼 메모리 슬롯, 조작계를 뺐는데 준 건 어차피 저가형용으로 새로 개발, 따로 제조 하는게 돈이 더 들어가는 ㅋㅋ 거고 뺀 건 모두 비용이 만만찮은 것들. 아주 캐논다운 구성. ㅋㅋㅋ

다만 DSLR과 달리 미러리스는 터치 스크린을 크게 활용할 수 있고 이게 조작계의 약점을 크게 완화시켜줌. 재밌는 건 캐논 대리점 판매원들도 터치로 어떻게 쓰는지 잘 모름...; 배터리는 용량만큼 싸고 가벼워서 사진에서는 그냥 여러 개 쓰면 되고.

지금 신품 170 이하로 구할 수 있던데, 스틸 사진 위주 취미 생활용으로는 여전히 매우 좋은 바디라고 생각함. 영상은, 배터리 용량과 IBIS 부재가 생각보다 큰 문제고.
