Diary of a Young Doctor by Ezzideen Shehab, 2025

Five days before 7 October 2023 a young Palestinian doctor returns to Gaza, having completed his medical studies abroad. His family gathers to celebrate his achievements and welcome him home.
On 11 October seventy-five members of his extended family are killed in an airstrike, and thus begins his incredible story of survival and service to his people.





For more than eight months Dr Ezzideen Shehab volunteers at the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, witnessing first-hand catastroph ic injuries and deaths, and working under the most difficult circumstances imaginable, including shortages of life-saving medicines and equipment. Constantly targeted by the IDF, the Indonesian hospital is ultimately destroyed. In December 2024 Dr Shehab co-founds the Al-Rahma Medical Centre, to provide free medical care in northern Gaza where no functioning hospitals remain. The Al-Rahma clinic is damaged multiple times and in July 2025 is forced to close. Dr Shehab and his family are displaced for the fifth time with no hope of ever returning to their demolished home in the north of Gaza. Throughout it all, Dr Shehab posts regular updates on the situation for his patients and for his people. His clarity and humanity shine bright as he describes those he treats, and his incomprehension at the unfolding genocide and the silence of the world in the face of the ongoing atrocities. Diary of a Young Doctor is an unforgettable testimony of one of the most shameful periods in recent history.

스라에 흡연 플로우가 도는 군요 흡연하기 전에 비타스틱 하고 싶긴 했는데 파는 곳을 몰라가지구… 대신(??) 흡연했는데 부친 때문에 이미 흡연에 대해 부정적인 이미지도 쌓이고 무엇보다 냄새가 내 손가락과 목구멍에 남는게 크아아아악 그런 연유로 그냥 끊었읍니다 스트레스 풀리지도 않음 저한테는 그냥 탄산음료 드링킹 하는게 스트레스 푸는데 효과가 더 좋았어요

Start by reading the hardware page. Keep these things in mind: Generally, for wireless/Android/standalone headsets, you’ll want to use WiVRn. Visit the WiVRn page for installation instructions. Generally, for wired headsets like Index/Vive/WMR/Oculus/Rift, you’ll want to use Envision to build and run the latest Monado. Monado or WiVRn are replacements for SteamVR. Once set up (and complemented with xrizer) you won’t need to launch SteamVR anymore. Install WiVRn directly if you can; it’s a lot easier than building it with Envision, which is only necessary if you need a custom branch (e.g. for SlimeVR support). 最近タイムラインで見かけてboostしそこねたんだけど「Linuxは〇〇（アプリ）が動かないのが問題」（Linuxを減点する）んじゃなくて「〇〇（アプリ）はLinux（でも*BSDでもHaikuでもいいが……）で動かないのが問題」（アプリを減点する）と採点していく考え方もあるよなとなった。

SolidJS로 앱 만들다가 아이콘셋이 필요해져서 패키지를 뒤져보는데, 마이너 생태계답게 마지막 업데이트가 삼사년 전인 패키지들만 나온다. 아이콘셋에 업데이트가 필요 없긴 하지. 그래도 최근에 업데이트 된 패키지가 걸리적거리는게 없을 것 같달까. 그러다 활발히 업데이트 중인 unplugin-icons를 찾았다. 이것은 SolidJS용 패키지가 아니었다. 아이콘셋도 아니었다. 거의 모든 아이콘셋을 거의 모든 프레임워크에서 사용할 수 있게 해주는 도구다. 이런 문물이 있었다니. 누가 만들었나 함 보자. 제작자는 Anthony Fu... 아아 또 그인가. 오늘도 비 React 웹 생태계엔 Anthony Fu의 은혜가 넘친다.

Yesterday's sewing: Put the shirt together by setting the sleeves, all that's left is sewing up the second dart (just basted here), nudging the gathers on my more difficult shoulder a bit, and then hemming the hem.
This fuller sleeve is still a bit long and the top gathers are not exactly as I'd like them, but the new bodice pattern works!
