I wore my Owl head and cyberpunk jacket for the Halloween party at #supercon and a bit Saturday night too. Though I had to keep taking it off to speak to people. At some point I need to add a speaker like those used for some storm trooper helmets.

#카트라이더는 원래 넥슨 IP. 이걸 텐센트에서 사가서 카트라이더 러쉬플러스를 출시. 이게 한국으로 역수입됨. 그래서 중섭이 한섭보다 1년 반 정도 앞서감. 덧붙여서 최근 한섭 컨텐츠는 거의 중섭 컨텐츠 우라까이해서 들여오는 수준이라 피로감도 높고 이탈이 많았음.
그러던 와중에 1년 반쯤 전 중섭에서 코리아 테마를 출시. 거기서 태극파라곤(중국식 태극이 아니라 빨파 한국식 태극)이 등장, 한섭 유저들 기대감 상승.(원래 원작에 코리아 테마가 있었고 중섭도 이걸 돌려가면서 원작 맵 가져오는 방식이라 코리아 테마는 언젠가 등장할 예정이었음)
그리고 1년 반이 지나는 사이에 케데헌을 위시한 K컨텐츠 따상. 이번에는 넥슨에서 물 들어오는 김에 각잡고 노를 저으려 했는지 이것저것 독자 컨텐츠를 넣어서 미리보기를 발표함. 그리고 한섭 코리아 테마 서비스 시작이 오늘인 12월 10일 00시.

I think there's at least a few kinds of research that involve old ideas. The one I try to do is, go back in time to back when people knew certain things people don't know anymore, and combine those things with stuff they didn't know back then to do things that are interesting right now.
Another kind is where you just take 1980s stuff verbatim and (perhaps innocently) pretend you invented it. I am seeing several PL groups literally speed-running the 1980s right now and it is so weird...
