not only are doors 2 blocks tall now, there's a generic system to create up to 16x16x16 multi-block structures just by specifying the positions and blocks in json
anyway, doors make a huge difference to the game's feel. with doors and tables and such these shacks are starting to feel like real houses
edit: correction, structures can be 32x32x32 because each axis is -16 to +15

Is it me or are major internet platform outages getting more frequent? I used to instinctively reboot my router, now I just assume it's the platform. GitHub broke for me this morning, now LinkedIn is offline. Reddit and Twitter feel like they go down twice a week. Meanwhile all these companies are bragging about layoffs because they've "become more efficient with AI". Like, dawg, you can't even keep your website online.

Just confirmed on my StarLite that OS 8.1 defaults to 150% scaling when you log in.
I unfortunately don’t know if we can reasonably support fractional scaling on the greeter/during installation. Maybe we can revisit it for 8.1.1. OS 9 for sure will have it because everything will be Wayland!

I wonder if there's such a thing as an electric blanket with a temperature sensor, so it can slowly turn up the heating level as your bedroom cools over the night to keep you comfy.
(Yes I know, normal people leave the heating on overnight and their bedrooms don't cool down dramatically. I'm ridiculously noise sensitive when sleeping and my heating is central air, it will absolutely wake me if/when it comes on.)
PS: I tried an Internet search or two and ... yeah, good luck with that today.
