Just added the `browser.ml.enable` #AI preference to my #Firefox `policies.json` file
This is something you can drop into place once and have it take effect for all users and browser profiles (which can be a big time saver if you use multiple profiles) This policies.json mainly turns off a bunch of #Mozilla #advertising shenanigans
Currently set up as an #RPM on #Linux but a #homebrew version would be welcome too if someone want to send me a PR

I really wish Prusa had tried to work with OSI, CC, and/or OSHWA instead of greenfielding a new license.
Even if the principle behind this license wasn't misguided, I don't think it's precise enough to legally accomplish any of the goals Prusa stated.

@gnome for a number of reasons. I do it because I love the user experience. Because I've been using it pretty much daily for almost two decades now. Because the team seems inclusive and promotes values I believe strongly in, beyond FOSS. Because I use GTK apps all the time and I want them to get even better - and more numerous. Because I want my phone to be running GNOME within a few years. Because you come across as run by humans, not a bunch of faceless suits.

I'll elaborate. I believe we're in an AI bubble. AI companies are pushing the overton window on AI discourse. They want the most extreme anti-AI sentiment to be "Sure, it's an overhyped technology right now but there will be reasonable applications down the road". I want to see pushback on this. It doesn't matter if I can disable some AI feature in the settings. The fact that Mozilla is jumping on this bandwagon is deeply disappointing to me.

Paradise Lost might be my favorite band of 2025. Despite being a big doom metal fan, I sort of slept on this band. Having been around since the 80s, their sound has been through many changes and refinements, so listening to 1 album, much less 1 song here and there isn't going to give you a good idea of the band. The raw, early albums are more of an acquired taste. Later stuff is near perfection.
