We honor the courage of community members who are looking out for one another and demanding dignity and safety for all. We reject all forms of violence, and recommit to nonviolent organizing. ICE and CBP must leave our communities. Every person involved must be held fully accountable under the law, without special treatment and without excuses.

We call for the immediate arrest of the ICE officers who carried out this deadly shooting, and for full accountability for all federal officials and agency leadership who authorized and oversaw this operation. We know federal officials will not lift a finger to ensure accountability — it is up to state and local officials to stand up for justice, the rule of law, and the safety of our communities.

We strongly condemn the deadly shooting of a Minneapolis resident by a federal immigration enforcement officer during an ICE and CBP operation. Our hearts are with the victim and their loved ones, and with the Twin Cities community that is once again being terrorized by federal immigration raids.

If reports are accurate, an ICE officer murdered a woman by shooting her in the face multiple times. They did this during an immigration crackdown ordered and escalated by the Trump regime.

This is a horrifying and unacceptable outcome of a secret police force that has made our communities less safe. ICE and CBP brutality is not an aberration. It is the predictable result of an authoritarian regime that has empowered federal agents to occupy neighborhoods, target immigrant communities, and operate with impunity.

All our users were told within the last hour that they/their application consumes too much resources at openrailwaymap.org. This is wrong for almost all of you. ❤️

This message should have appeared on a couple of Hungarian live tracking sites only. Due to a mistake, it appeared everywhere.

Screenshot of a map with a tile replaced by a semaphore "expect stop" board as used in Hungary, Austria and Germany. Following text is displayed below the signal: "Dear developer, your application consumes to much resources at tiles.openrailwaymap.org. A tile cache or running your own tile server is strongly recommended."

Three thoughts about Apple pushing "ChatGPT Health":

• This is why I consider the OS duopoly to be bad, why "just use macOS" is not a sufficient response to Microsoft's rapid descent into slopware.
• When OpenAI implodes, and it will implode in a terrifying way, creditors are gonna come looking for assets. That now includes health data. That's scary as fuck.
• OpenAI is founded on eugenics. Even before they implode, don't give eugenicists your health data.

As I was working my upcoming #FOSDEM talk "The Linux Phone App Ecosystem" (https://fosdem.org/2026/schedule/event/VH3GYN-linux-phone-app-ecosystem-2026/) I thought: Maybe I should ask my followers.. So here we are:

What do you want to know?
Which projects do I have to mention?
What should I focus on?
Which apps do you enjoy the most?
What are you missing?
What are you worried about?

Okay so the one thing I do need my laptop for is my research - and I use proton drive. I can use the browser to access, but it would be nice if they had an app for linux

IT BEGINS.

I won't do the food analogy I did on stream again, but I'm used to not being catered to, as a vegan, so this feels right at home :minette:

“WAGMI” — we're all gonna make it — was crypto's 2021 rallying cry. But those with wealth and power knew it was a lie, and that “all” just meant them. My latest traces the last five years from hype to technoligarchy — and why they're not all gonna make it either.

Practical Collision Attack Against Long Key IDs in PGP

In response to the GPG.Fail attacks, a Hacker News user made this claim about the 64-bit "Long Key IDs" used by OpenPGP and GnuPG, while responding to an answer I gave to someone else's question: OK, to be clear, I am specifically contending that a key fingerprint does not include collisions. My proof is empirical, that no one has come up with an attack on 64 bit PGP key fingerprints.
