珍宝海鲜舫讲《寻秦记》的这期好好听，主播提到千禧年TVB的穿越剧兴起，《九五至尊》《寻秦记》都是这一时期的产物，这背后所隐藏的是港人在寻求一种现代文明与古老制度对话的可能性。不禁恍然大悟，《九五至尊》尤为明显，穿越到现代香港的雍正，对他身份的解释正是大陆来的表亲，而这个故事也是关于他如何逐步融入香港社会的寓言。
在豆瓣看影版《寻秦记》影评的时候又看到一个人推测这部电影之所以压了六年，是因为它在19年的时候想讲一个香港人要杀皇帝的故事。

2. File should be sent to the professor in the 24h following the exam. (not to be graded, only as an archive of the exam)

Turns out writing markdownlint rules was the easy part. Actually fixing all those lint errors manually? That was unbearable.

So I did what any reasonable person would do: rewrote the whole thing as an auto-formatter. Meet Hongdown—now you can enforce my peculiar Markdown style without the pain.

I've been using from @simonmicSimon Michael for a few years, and it's been better than any other personal finance tool I've tried ☺️

The only thing I've been missing was various plots and charts, and I wasn't quite happy with any of the existing tools.

So I developed my own viewing UI for my HLedger journal; it's a read-only window on your finances showing a series of plots in a nice TUI - and it can also be hosted on a server!

I've always believed that structured logging shouldn't be complicated. Seeing Sentry echo this sentiment in their latest engineering blog post—and using LogTape to demonstrate it—is a massive validation for me.

They did a great job explaining why we need to move beyond console.log() in production. Really proud to see my work mentioned alongside such a standard-setting tool.

I went to trans swimming last night and it was amazing.

Trans swimming happens weekly in two public swimming pools in London, one in South London, one in North East London. Each sets aside a pool for trans and gender diverse swimmers, we get our own changing room, and we have 90 minutes allocated in the evening where the pool is exclusively ours.

It is amazing.

I've been multiple times, but seeing the joy on every face to swim regardless of top surgery scars, bulging bikini bottoms, or even topless (pre surgery mascs and early HRT femmes).

But no one cares about the bodies... This is what makes it amazing. People just swim, splash, do handstands, snog, do lengths... It's just this really amazing safe space.

I can't describe how big a deal it is to feel this safe, and to have this space, and to do an activity that has such fear associated to it (trans person in a public pool and changing rooms).
