What is Hackers' Pub?

Hackers' Pub is a place for software engineers to share their knowledge and experience with each other. It's also an ActivityPub-enabled social network, so you can follow your favorite hackers in the fediverse and get their latest posts in your feed.

Assigning myself more work but I see lots of folks in my tech networks talking about self-regulation and self-monitoring with a LOT of common misconceptions about it. Folks! Your brain is not a punching bag you need to beat up all the time. We should do a Change, Technically on this

Kinda sad. I've put significant work into rebuilding my personal site, and am finally to deployment...

...which reminds me why I went static in the first place.

My blog isn't that important, already containerized, and I'm already choosing slow/low CPUs, so I was hoping cheap was on the menu somewhere. But $40 a month?

Might as well scrap the rewrite, and leave the current to bit-rot.

Anyone in Toronto interested in a WFH part-time BA/PO role? My friend is hiring for her tiny startup. If you can spreadsheets like a pro, and can think clearly about markets, especially in the food retail space, this might be for you.

Can also be full-time if you can drive and can lift very heavy things. The hours can get a little weird though, but it should even out to about full-time hours.

I'm putting together a conference talk. Like referring to MacBeth as "the Scottish play", I've decided to use other terms for "enshittification" and David Graeber's 2018 book, "Bullshit Jobs". "The capitalist inevitability" is a bit too on the nose, but "the Graeber book" works. Any suggestions?

"AI로 공부하면 바보 된다"…OECD 보고서 충격 n.news.naver.com/article/092/...
