Apparently, Hootsuite's "Terms and Conditions" are flexible enough to include supporting ICE. An entity tied to deadly force and open human-rights abuses.
Their CEO Irina Novoselsky says the ICE contract stands. I say that my subscription doesn't. And that I will be advocating daily for organizations that I work with to drop Hootsuite. It doesn't matter that they're Canadian - when they don't support Canadian values.

I think the worst part of this, aside from the loss of life, is the near certainty that at some point today, Trump will find words that will make the situation much, much worse.

Tanille Johnston can claim the honor "First here" - joining socialBC in Sept.
Tony McQuail is 2nd (launching on the flagship instance in Oct), but has posted the most of all three.
Front-runner Avi Lewis' account on mstdn.ca (created just a few days ago) - while short on posts atm - already has more follows and followers, and as with Tanille, he chose to launch his Fedi presence on a Canadian instance, so we know they're taking data sovereignty as more than a slogan.. 😉
We've been kvetching for years, so let's show 'em how happy we are they're now here, peeps!!

Anyone have any go-to choice for #FreeBSD scripts to handle zfs-send of snapshots for backup purposes? I have a couple of hosts using zfs and already have snapshots set up, but I would like to have the most recent snapshot sent to another host (and older snapshots to be pruned from that remote host).
Doesn't need to be anything super-fancy beyond that, bonus points for just integrating with periodic(8)
