Wear warm clothes and preferably layered clothes: entering and leaving buildings all day long, you'll enjoy being able to open a zipper in the overly heated buildings and going out in the cold. Bring a rain coat / an umbrella as it tends to rain quite often.
Arrive in advance, otherwise you might miss your most-wanted talk because the room was full.

A lesson I have learned more than once and which is apparently not common knowledge: if you have approximately 1 in 256 requests failing, it is almost certainly because you are roundtripping a byte array through a bignum and losing the leading 0 because that is a thing that matters in byte arrays and not in bignums
