Tonight’s question: lemonade doesn’t have lemons in, it’s just fizzy water with saccharine in. “Traditional” lemonade tastes of lemons and has lemons in. Was “lemonade” all “traditional” at some point? When did it change? I asked my mum if lemonade in the 50s/60s was what we’d call traditional now, but she doesn’t remember

私が興味を持っている課題のひとつに「俳句を詠むコンピューター」がある。もちろん、今日のコンピューターでも古典的なマルコフ連鎖なりLLMなりで俳句に分類できる文字列を作ることはできる（し、そういうコンセプトのシステムを作った人も実際にいる）。しかし、一定のルールに沿った文字列を確率分布に沿って生成することと、そこにある（またはそこにはない）情景を汲んで俳句を詠むことは異なると私は考えている。

今、「LLMの次」として世界モデル（センサー情報を元に周囲の環境・世界を学習した機械学習モデル）やフィジカルAI（機械学習をロボットや工場などの実世界のモノと相互作用するシステムに適用することを指すバズワード、と理解している）を標榜する企業が多数出ているが、これらの内、特に世界モデルは俳句を詠むコンピューターに迫る上で何らかの貢献をするかもしれないと期待している。

Yk what's the worst
I could write a mostly complete JVM in pure assembly (in my own assembler) + an OpenGL software renderer and run Minecraft in kernel mode (with a LWJGL adapter) and my brain would still be like that's trivial shit how dare you be proud of yourself and I have no retort to that

i think i might accidentally write a webserver

(i mean, not the heavy parts, most of it's going to be axum behind haproxy. but i'm finding i don't like ServeDir/ServeFile from tower_http so i'm just gonna try to do a naive implementation. get a url, check for shenanigans, translate to filename, send the file. and i'm chuffed to relearn enough rust and traits and into/from to be able to design handlers for axum and use the ? operator instead of filling my code up with error handling mess)
