4x faster network file sync with rclone (vs rsync)

For the past couple years, I have transported my 'working set' of video and project data to and from work on an external Thunderbolt NVMe SSD. But it's always been slow when I do the sync. In a typical day, I may generate a new project folder with 500-1000 individual files, and dozens of them may be 1-10 GB in size. The Thunderbolt drive I had was capable of well over 5 GB/sec, and my 10 Gbps network connection is capable of 1 GB/sec. I even upgraded my Thunderbolt drive to Thunderbolt 5 lately... though that was not the bottleneck.

Recently discovered No Sabo Concheria just a couple blocks away from me. Firstly, incredible pastries. The best concha I’ve ever had in my life. The horchata latte is delightful. Al pastor sausage croissant is so good. And they sell uncooked tortillas, so that’s another thing I get to buy local now! I need to find out if they sell their salsa too. I’m very excited about this place

Is Moltbook really a “social network” for AI agents?

404 Media reports that security researcher Jamieson O’Reilly found a vulnerability that allows humans to control OpenClaw’s AI agents on Moltbook — the network that recently went viral for hosting “discussions” between supposed AI bots.

Wiz dug into the misconfiguration as well, uncovering 1.5 million exposed API keys and 35,000 email addresses. Moltbook has since secured the database.

Geologists may have solved mystery of Green River's 'uphill' route

New research may have solved an American mystery which has baffled geologists for a century and a half: How did a river carve a path through a mountain in one of the country's most iconic landscapes? Scientists have long sought an answer to this question of how the Green River, the largest tributary of the Colorado River, managed to create a 700-meter-deep canyon through Utah's 4km-high Uinta Mountains instead of simply flowing around them. The question is particularly confounding because, while the Uinta Mountains are 50 million years old, the Green River has been following this route for less than 8 million years.

Ich hab sowas von die Schnauze voll. Da will eine Management-Person eines Multi-Milliarden-Konzerns (mit IAAP-Accessibility-Zertifikat) Expertise von behinderten Screenreader-Nutzenden auf Mastodon einkaufen. Eine Stunde testen für 50 Dollar. Aber nich direkt als Geld, sondern als Gutschein.

Diese Branche ist ja oft ausbeuterisch gegenüber Behinderten und ich rede auch weißgottnicht zum ersten Mal darüber, aber dieses Level an Dreistigkeit ist schon mal wieder was ganz besonderes.
