高田馬場のビャンビャン麺のお店で、相席を勧められた。混んでるし見知らぬ若い男性と相席となった。ところがこの相席の距離が思いのほか近く、他人行儀を決め込むのにいささか気まずい感じもある。
向かいの若い中国人もイヤホンしてスマホ見ているし、そうやってやりすごそうと思っていたら、突然若いのがイヤホンを外して、こちらのコップに水を注いでくれた。
というところから不思議なコミュニケーションが始まって、若い男性の身の上話を聞くに、苦学生の大学院生という。聞けば談話研究をやっているというではないですか。「自己開示は相互に等しく」の原理に従って、こちらの仕事も明かして研究や教育、故郷の話に。お金がないから2年にいちどくらいしか帰国できない、こないだは祖父の夢を見たとか。
もう食堂で始まった仕事の延長みたいな気持ちで話聞いたわ。さて、これで「会計は別で」って言える？無理でしょ。
思えば自分も学生時代、大連の空港が洪水でホテルに缶詰になったとき、食堂で居合わせた知らない中国人がメシを奢ってくれたのだった。
偶然にも本日出会った彼は大連出身だった。だから何？という話かもしれない。でもちょっと楽しくなる出来事でした。

野田佳彦が今回やったことって、旧民主党時代と一緒なんよな。自民に対抗するリベラル政党として存在していた民主党を「自民党よりマイルドな保守」に仕立て上げて個性を無くし、存在感と信頼を失う。
安倍晋三に「不可解な解散」を迫って自滅し民主党を崩壊させた。今回も「このタイミングで」中道改革連合を結成して「自民党よりマイルドな保守」を演出した。そしてあたかも立民支持者と公明支持者の票がダブルで入る「自民党にとっての脅威」のように見せかけたが、所詮は張子の虎。結果、有権者の支持は全く得られずに惨敗。
中道改革連合は「立民崩壊の始まり」と僕は選挙前から確信していたが、自民党批判をしようと、自らを万死に値すると言おうと、所詮は口先だけのパフォーマンスでしかない。
野田佳彦はそういう男だ。

Safe space from AI
Given the state of things, I sort of want to create a computing space in which it’s impossible to use AI. I want the artifacts in this space to feel like plants in a garden, something a person can work on little by little.
