"3月11日，國民黨軍隊攻入台南。

再一次，不分青紅皂白，國民黨專抓有人望的知識分子。二、三十名軍警圍住湯德章的宅邸，強行將他逮補。據說，在逮捕的過程中，湯德章徒手抗拒，爭取時間，將「治安組」的青年名冊通通燒毀。隨後，即使被軍警刑求，他也沒有吐出任何名字，讓許多年輕學生因此幸免於難。

3月12日，湯德章雙手反綁，被押上軍車遊街。此時的她，已經被懸吊刑求一整夜，肋骨被打斷。車行到了民生綠園（也就是現在的台南市的「湯德章紀念公園」，台文館前面那塊圓環），準備在此槍決。

槍決前，台南市民圍觀哭泣。想必有不少人，是曾經受過他幫助的吧。行刑的士兵想逼他下跪，但他堅持不跪，甚至還向四周的市民微笑。臨終之際，湯德章呼喊：「臺灣人，萬歲！」最終，子彈貫穿前額及鼻樑而亡。

國民黨知道湯德章的人望，因此下令不准收屍。湯德章的妻子哀求之下，勉強接受以毛毯裹屍，但仍然不許移動，曝曬三天。

對那一代台南人來說，他一個人就扛了無數人命，至死不屈，是怎樣也無法磨滅的記憶。"

unscheduled reminder to go and express gratitude to the OSS stuff you use when you feel thankful for it! ^^

i have found that joining a channel purely to relay that you like something they made for you, with no bug reports / feature requests / strings attached is a really morale boosting experience for both sides. maybe try doing this today!

I couldn't get pixelfed to work under . That's why I'm building pxvoid now. A simple, self-hosted web gallery with integration. No multi-user management, no filters, no stories, and a local upload script. Follows and likes from the are possible. It's an early alpha version, but the basics work in under 1800 LoC . Now all that's missing is the final design and code cleanup 🥳🎉
