Anthropomorphizing the technology is just one more way humans try to escape accountability. “The AI contributed a patch”, “the AI wrote the blog post”, “the car hit the pedestrian” and “the knife killed the victim”, those are all the same framing.

물론 말씀하신대로 라이트룸으로 보정해도 된다. 하지만 (방대한 RAW 사진 데이터베이스 때문에 고민인 사람으로서 하는 말) 그건 일반인들에게는 “엄청난” 귀차니즘이다. 후지필름의 필름 시뮬레이션이 괜히 먹히는 게 아니다. 문제는 후지 카메라 가격은 최소 150은 잡아야 한다. 요즘 이 트렌드 때문에 중고가가 뛰기 시작했다지만 후지의 1/5 가격이다.
... 아 그리고 최종적으로, 일반인들은 절대적 화질에 생각보다 신경을 안 쓴다. 심지어 몇몇 사람들은 피부 잡티가 찍힌다며 스마트폰의 전면 카메라 화질이 올라가는 것도 싫어하는 마당이니. (...)
2025년에는 무려 2008년 이후 처음으로 카메라 판매량이 연속 성장(2년 연속 성장세)을 기록했다. 물론 레트로 디카들은 이 판매량에 잡히지 않지만, 그만큼 다 거기서 거기인 스마트폰 사진에 몇몇 사람들이 싫증을 내기 시작했다는 방증이다.
그렇다고 스마트폰 제조사들이 다시 카메라에 개성을 넣진 않을 것이다. 그들은 어떠한 상황에서도 절대 다수가 납득할 수 있는 사진을 뽑아야 한다. 이들에게 카메라는 예술보단 기록의 목적으로 접근하는 것이니까.
그래서 이 현상은 당분간 계속 되지 않을까.

警方其後就案件作進一步調查，並徵詢法律意見後，正式落案起訴該名男子一項「管有兒童色情物品」罪。案件將於明日（13日）在粉嶺裁判法院提堂。被告為一名休班警務人員，現已被停職處理。據了解，該名警員隸屬油麻地警區。

I started reading Japanese books (and I much prefer physical books), and I'm wondering how people deal with finding kanji they don't yet know. Without knowing how they sound, I can't easily look them up - I use the Takoboto dictionary app, and this lets you manually write kanji, but with more complex ones that's very timeconsuming.
Ideally I'd like something that lets me point my phone camera at a kanji (or word containing one or more kanjis), and look it up that way.
I know I can use things like Google Translate with my phone camera, but that translates everything it sees, and I then have to dig around to find the original word/kanji I'm interested in.
Are there any (Android) apps I'm not aware of that would help with this, or any other tips? ありがとうございます！

I’ve got to say, some Linux people’s fetish for running everything from the command line gets just creepy at times.
I mean things like “why click a button when you could memorize yet another command instead?” pushed to extremes. I don’t want to memorize a text command to play or pause my music, dude.
“Why click a couple of buttons in a GUI when you can instead slowly drive yourself mad trying futilely to remember the proper syntax for a ffmpeg command?”
