청와대가 법학전문대학원(로스쿨) 제도와 별도로 사법시험을 통해 연간 50~150명의 법조인을 추가 선발하는 방안을 검토하고 있는 것으로 11일 확인됐다. 청와대는 조만간 이 방안을 최종 점검한 뒤 이재명 대통령에게 보고할 것으로 알려졌다.

My son's potential work placement fell through so I'm hoping the fediverse can step up and help me out.
My 16yo son is looking for a work placement in an engineering company. Mechanical engineering would be preferable as he is planning on studying that in uni. He's a smart and dependable first year college student studying math, physics and electronics. He's predicted to get triple As, is very academic but also likes the practical side of things.
He's looking for a work placement from 8-10 July in the UK. We live in Hampshire but he's willing to commute for a meaningful work placement. I'm even willing to book a hotel room for a good work placement anywhere else in the UK.

The "badwords" script we use in curl CI to detect words in documentation and source code that we want to avoid took 48 seconds to run just a few days ago.
Then it took 8 seconds after an optimization take by me.
Then 3.6 once the regexes were improved by

Today I’m celebrating the reproductive success of New Zealand’s kākāpōs (Strigops habroptilus). The gorgeously goofy flightless parrots are caring for more than 240 eggs this year in response to a bumper crop of berries from the rimu tree (Dacrydium cupressinum). Kākāpō mating is triggered by an abundant rimu ‘mast’ year, and this is the first since 2022. There were only 236 kākāpōs at the start of the year, so every chick that survives will be very welcome.
