Dear friends of the #BSDCafe and the entire community,

Unfortunately, sometimes things in life do not go as planned. Becoming an adult also means learning to accept this and to set priorities. Over the past few months I have had some family matters that required my attention. I waited as long as possible before making a final decision, but the moment has now come.

I have informed the BSDCan team that, sadly, I will have to withdraw from the event and will not be able to present my talk.

BSD conferences have become some of the most important events of the year for me. They bring joy, positivity, and motivation. When one ends, I already start looking forward to the next with enthusiasm. In Zagreb I said goodbye to everyone with "see you in Ottawa". This year, unfortunately, that will not happen.

The only consolation is that the situation fortunately seems to be moving toward a resolution, although more slowly than expected. Because of this, I cannot in good conscience keep things uncertain and hope that everything will work out in time. I need to take a step back for now, already feeling the enthusiasm for the next EuroBSDCon.

사실 회사도 이미 제품 디자인과 테스팅을 이렇게 기준만 세워주고 스스로 할수 있도록 하려고 하던데 음;; 과연 앞으로 무슨 세상이 될지 모르겠음;; 이번 전쟁에서 이미 미국정부가 이렇게 하려고 했다가 모델 업체들과 싸움난것도 그렇고 알수없는 시대로다;

자동 연구 에이전트 시험삼아서 만들어봤는데 구현과 실험을 정말 스스로 다 할수 있는듯;; 물론 중간에 좀 패키지 설치가 꼬여서 헤메는 경우가 있는데 이런건 사람이 좀 해결을 미리 해결해줘야하고 그리고 처음에 계획을 매우 구체적으로 세워야함; 하여간 다들 이런거 하고 있을것이라 생각이 드는데 아마 과학의 발전속도(?)가 빨라지겠구나 싶음 사실 발전속도라기보단 쓰레기 (?) 페이퍼가 나오는 속도라고 해야할지 ㅋㅋㅋ

If ‘AI’ gives you a 20% productivity increase, in an economic system that rewards growth at the expense of everything else, the rational thing for any company to do is use that productivity increase to expand into new markets. This may involve some redundancies because you need different skills for the new opportunities but they will be matched by increased hiring in the other areas. If you and your competitors both see a 20% increase in productivity and you use it to make people redundant and they use it to ship more products in more areas, then they will grow at your expense. Their products will be better than yours and you will lose market share.

If you are claiming that you have redundancies because ‘AI’ is increasing productivity, then one of the following is true:

• Your leadership team does not understand market economics (in which case, investors should worry that the board has not replaced obviously incompetent leadership).
• You are an unchallengeable monopoly and have already filled all adjacent markets and have literally no possibility of growth (in which case, investors should take note and set their price predictions based on today’s revenue, with no expectation of future growth, which would wipe out over 80% of Meta’s market cap).
• You are lying about productivity gains (in which case, investors should worry about what else you’re lying about and should start prodding the SEC to investigate).
