I keep wondering if I might have been more okay with "AI" in programming if:
* It ran entirely locally.
* It was trained entirely on my own code.
* It operated more as generators and autocomplete rather than "hi, I'm a direct threat to your livelihood."
Just had my first meeting where someone asked ChatGPT a technical question and turned up the volume so the rest of us could hear its (incorrect) answer.
The answer was wrong because the question was subtly wrong, but golly I do not want non-consensual ChatGPT in my meetings.

No. Nononononono. It is not built on _knowledge_, it it built on _data_. And not everyone's experiences are available as data, many communities are excluded. Also: "Collective" implies some sort of collaboration and shared activity. But "AI" is just accumulation by a few powerful.
So No. It's not collective but extractive, not knowledge but data, not humankind but the hegemonic western view. Everything in that statement is wrong.

我也會，對於 AI model 也差不多。基本上就是我付的錢跟它能提供給我的娛樂（or 協助）在合理範圍就好了。
但不會到「它給了這麼多，我應該死命用到我不能用」的程度，不過對 AI 服務似乎比較常聽到有人發出這種焦慮。
@wancw寫 code 求生的鼯鼠 🦊 也許是我的生活現在已經沒有多餘的「頻寬」支持我去追求這種「生產力大突破」的目標。
所以對於大家試著去最大化 AI Model 的產出，甚至更進一步對於沒把 rate limit 用到乾而產生的焦慮。
我不能太能理解這種行為，又或者是我理解但是極度排斥這種「生產力陷阱」的感覺。
也許帳面上的生產力不斷提升，但是從個人層面好像卻付出了更多的金錢與精力。
就好像人們拚了命的把各種重物往身上掛，好用來彰顯「我是個非常強壯的人」，然而這種互相攀比似乎看不到結束的一刻，只剩下越來越疲憊的人們與越來越重的負擔。
