BertVote Gemeenteraadsverkiezingen 2026 - Bert Hubert's writings

Woensdag 18 maart gaan de meeste gemeenten stemmen (behalve Hilversum en Wijdemeren). Ooit was er de NerdVote campagne, waar we met een klankbordgroep heel zorgvuldig kandidaten kozen. Voor de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen kon ik niet geloofwaardig weer NerdVote doen omdat ik zelf als lijstduwer op de lijst sta voor Progressief Pijnacker-Nootdorp (de lokale GroenLinks-PvdA combinatie). Desondanks zijn er wel kandidaten in het land waar ik erg enthousiast van word! Ik ken al deze mensen persoonlijk, en beveel ze van harte aan.

Gibt es noch Last-Minute-Tools oder -Tipps, die ich heute Abend unbedingt auch zum Thema „Erfolgreich im Fediverse zu sein” erwähnen sollte?
In diesem Mini-Vortrag ist mit „erfolgreich” natürlich primär Reichweite und das Teilen und Erstellen spannender Inhalte für Organisationen oder Benutzer gemeint, die etwas Spannendes zu erzählen haben.

Ein geschütztes Konto mit wenigen Followern kann für einen selbst natürlich auch bedeuten, dass man sehr erfolgreich ist.

@sabrinkmannSamuel Brinkmann Viele vergessen, neben den ganzen ollen Instagram und Facebook Links auf der Homepage oder Projektseite auch ihre Fediverse-Präsenz prominent zu verlinken. Da man die Posts ja auch ohne Account lesen kann, ist das für alle interessant, nicht nur für Leute die schon im Fediverse sind.

Noch mehr Aufmerksamkeit von Fediverse-Neulingen bekommt man, wenn man die eigenen Inhalte über eine in die Webseite einbindet, oder diese auf Präsenz-Veranstaltungen zur Show stellt.

Has anyone here used a DDR PHY that exposes a DFI (ddr-phy.org/) interface and if you have do you have do you have any opinions on either the specification as a whole, or any features it's missing/misfeatures it has

One of my favorite new NewsBlur features for following sites with no RSS feeds:

- paste in a URL for a site that has no RSS feed
- NewsBlur reads the page, finds what looks like story titles
- You're presented with a few story titles pulled out of the page
- 90% of the time users just pick the first suggestion

Zero configuration, NewsBlur just figures it out, and bam, you're following a site with no RSS feed in your RSS news reader.

You see tagged posts from people you follow and from people who others on your server follow. If someone on a server your server has no connection to posts on that same hashtag, you'll never see it. tags.pub is to help connect with those posts, too.

I'm increasingly thinking that AI is a symptom and not the root problem. Leaving aside that the obvious motivation for it is the destruction of the modern peasantry, I would cautiously suggest that most of the problems with it are really caused by indifference to sustainable systems.

Everything is so optimized around short-term market gains that literally everything else is getting tossed by the wayside.
