Canadian friends who drive: Transport Canada is soliciting feedback on ultra-bright vehicle headlights and headlight glare at night.

I encourage you to give them data on your experience, so that they might update the regulations to stop SUVs from routinely blinding me with their factory-fitted Nuclear Fireball 9000 LED Darkness Devastators Shock And Awe Edition headlights aimed directly into my face and eyes.

We're working to improve image quality on Bluesky. As a first effort, we're increasing the image resolution from a max of 2000px width/height to 4000px.

This is feature gated while we measure the impact to our image and moderation pipelines.

From Monday: Talarico—whose central message is that it’s about not left versus right, but top versus bottom—is going to have to meaningfully engage with and accept the critiques of Black voters and politicos and give those voters substantive policy that renders them as seen, full humans with separate, unique concerns that white voters do not have. texasobserver.org/texas-talari

journal has a call out for articles about the use of publishing:

> Contributions from any practitioner working on digital publication are welcome, regardless of the stage or sophistication of the publication’s development. This includes boutique, shoestring publications ... as well as large-scale projects that rely on institutional backing, development teams, practices, & infrastructure.

Here's the article that tipped me over into using uv for all my python projects and dependent machines: lucumr.pocoo.org/2024/8/21/har

And here's the quote from the bottom:

> If you maintain an important Python project I would ask you to give uv a try and ask yourself if you would consider pointing people towards it. I think that this is our best shot in the community at finding ourselves in a much better position than we have ever been.

And now I feel gutted 😞
