She stared at me blankly

Anyway I found a publisher in 2022 and the book was published in 3/2023

Thinking about that interaction a lot these days for no particular reason …

Very complicated all this Fediverse stuff! Far from the dream of having one account for everything, I seemed to need an account on every service to get the whole picture. I have now Nodebb, Mastodon, Lemmy, PixelFed and Peertube!
I dont know if Im just not using it properly, or if seeing everything from any one of these site is even possible?
@julian how far off is the prospect of using my nodebb account for all Federated chat, is that even achievable in long term?

The new Mikrotik RDS2216 https://mikrotik.com/product/rds2216 is still breaking my brain. Equipped with 100GbE it's clearly aimed at the enterprise, but I can't help thinking that it's perfect for the mid-market and represents a staggering value prop compared to the existing SSD NAS boxes. A Synology FS2500 with 12 SATA SSD slots goes for ~$3500 vs the RDS2216 full NVMe for ~$2000. 😳

Thinking an “entry level" version replacing the 100GbE ports with more 10/25GbE ports would be a very interesting variant…

Side note: 7mm U.2 drives are getting hard to find.

修正内容 (0.3.1の修正も含まれます):
- Misskeyを含む一部の実装で署名が受け入れられない問題を修正しました

30秒の広告を見れば、60分無料でデータ通信できる（界隈で盛り上がっている）eSIM、試してみたけどほんとに最低限の通信ならなんとかできる…かも？って感じ​​
個人的な感想はこんな感じ。

■メリット
・Googleアカウントか電話番号だけで数分でeSIMが発行できる
・維持費がかからない
・30秒の広告を見たら60分無制限に通信できるプランがある（低速）
・海外でもそのまま使える（らしい）
・全キャリア（ドコモ・au・ソフトバンク・楽天モバイル）のうち、最適なものにつながる
・お金を払えば結構早いらしい（値段は安め）

■デメリット
・無料で使えるプランは200kbpsぐらいしかでない（バースト転送があるので、思ってるよりは使える）
・日本国内でも国際ローミングなので、使えないサービスが出る可能性がある（シンガポール経由？だった）
・↑と同じ理由で海外を一度通るので通信の遅延が大きめ（200-300msぐらい？）
・サービスの継続性…あるかな？

■総評
サービスがいつまで続けられるのかわからないけど、続けられるのであればサブ回線として入れておいても良いかも？
キャリアの通信障害発生時や、今いる場所でほとんど通信できないような状況に出くわしたときに救われることがあるかもしれません
あと海外によく行く人も、選択肢に入れても良いかもしれません
