i can't stress enough how adding the casino and gambling mod to lethal company made the game 100x more interesting for me now.
now i am really motivated to run into danger and the scary abandoned planets to get scrap because i have this weird exitement thinking about how much gambling i'll be able to do once i get to the company building.
it honestly make me so much locked in and make me take more risks and kill stuff because i could gamble more.
i think i fucking love gambling. my friends are teasing me like "you're an addict" "stop gambling the scrap" but its like the whole game for me now. as soon as we leave the company building i only think about all the scrap i'll grab (to gamble)
i'm starting to understand what a gambling addiction could feel like.

they're using pictures and video of someone they stalked and pretending to be Nicole.

If an eBook has DRM which I can't remove, the likelihood of me buying that eBook is close to zero. Because I can't enjoy it freely across my devices.

As an experiment, this has been a long time coming. It can be very frustrating sometimes, because you can feel so close to a solution, but just not quite where you want to be yet.
And yeah, I stand by the idea of building a Fediverse-first product. Every path is hard in its own way, but it feels very backwards at times to try and bootstrap a content management system to have social features. Internally, there’s not really dedicated pages for timelines or notifications; the dashboard is just the WordPress dashboard.
I’ve been wanting to build something myself for a long time, but am still working on my confidence when it comes to developing my own thing. Social publishing is a big idea to me, though.

Since I’m #NewToBlorbo and have lurked here for a week now, I may as well compose an #introduction post!
My name is Elly. I’m a 33-year-old geek, raging autist 
and genderqueer dyke (they/them) 
I’m a perpetually burnout tech worker, hobbyist, and longtime fandom weirdo.
I’m also biromantic and aegosexual, which basically means “asexual who’s only interest in sex if it’s spicy scenarios between fictional characters.” Naturally, I thoroughly enjoy shipping characters in queer ways, lol. Only recently have I decided to embrace “fujin” and “himejin” as self-identifiers, but BL, GL, HL…I’m an equal opportunity shipper! 
I’ve been part of online fandoms since I was an awkward closeted tween, mainly those for anime and manga. While my interests, gender identity, beliefs and platforms of choice would shift over the years, thar aspect of my Internet habits never really did. I love media analysis and infodumping (this habit lends itself to tag-rambling if you’re a Tumblr user). I still draw fanart and write fanfiction, albeit sporadically, but would really love to do so more often!
My current fandom of focus is #Eyeshield21 (00s era shonen manga that’s basically The Bad News Bears, but with American football). But I’ve also been active in the #Dorohedoro, #DetectiveConan, #OnePiece and #OnePunchMan fandoms on-and-off as well.
I mainly enjoy older anime/manga from the 80s, 90s and 00s, preferably shonen and seinen. But I do keep up with recent titles as well, such as #ChainsawMan, #DanDaDan, and #DungeonMeshi.
Aside from these, my interests include Japanese language + culture, comics/sequential art studies, horror movies, amateur web design, drawing, writing, and dopamine dressing + decor.
I think that’s it for now! I’m most likely going to re-write this post, and will later try to do one on various blorbos, crushes, and ships I love. It’s a pleasure to meet all of you!

I love how modern Linux systems often force me to set /etc/resolv.conf to immutable until I track down all the processes that are "helpfully" trying to update it for me, and then discover all the configuration option to set to disable that behavior on each of them.

When you hear ‘CloudFest’, many people associate it with a business-to-business event, which it is, but the hackathon in the run-up to it still has a certain degree of community character. On the initiative of Andreas Heigl (@heiglandreas@andreas.heigl.org) and the support of Matthias Pfefferle (
@pfefferleMatthias Pfefferle), this year’s hackathon provided the resources and space for an exchange of ideas around ‘federated events’.
Our group was one of the largest and very diverse. We used the first day primarily to exchange ideas about our goals and the status quo. Afterwards, we reviewed and improved existing features and developed prototypes and concepts for new ones.
For me as a developer of the WordPress plugin Event Bridge For ActivityPub, the best thing about these days was to finally get to know the entire WordPress/Automattic team involved with ActivityPub in person (greetings to 
@mattwiebe and 
@obenlandKonstantin Obenland’s 
).
