很感謝中四五六的志工強力支援,中二、中三罷團今天都會送件,但是僅僅是跨過送件門檻而已,剔除一階連署被納入的、資料錯誤、不符資格者之後可能需要補件,因此必須持續收件。

Your Early 2010s Car Stereo Wrapped

You used the six-disc changer 0 times.

You re-paired your phone to the car because it randomly decided to stop working 17 times!

You accidentally pressed the dedicated iPod button while trying to enable Bluetooth mode 73 times. That puts you in the top 3% for your region.

You got five seconds into a song, then tried to skip back to the previous song, but failed to realise that pressing skip back will just reset you to the beginning of the song, then waited five seconds before realising your mistake, then correctly skipped back twice 29 times.

You angrily told Google Maps to shut up as it talked over the best part of the song 65 times.

You were annoyed enough to consider buying a 3.5mm audio cable and USB-C adapter before realising that the skip buttons wouldn't work over AUX 7 times!

You answered a call only to discover that you could hear them, but they couldn't hear you 22 times.

You left the car idling in a car park to keep the hands-free call going because you don't trust the car not to hang up when you disconnect for 34 minutes!

Tech Companies Apparently Do Not Understand Why We Dislike AI

It's becoming increasingly apparent that one of the reasons why tech companies are so enthusiastic about shoving AI into every product and service is that they fundamentally do not understand why people dislike AI. I will elaborate. I was recently made aware of the Jetbrains developer ecosystem survey, which included a lot of questions about AI. After I answered some of them negatively (and possibly…

There's only 15 decent Democrats left in the Senate. For the record they are:

"In addition to Sanders, Democratic Sens. Richard Durbin (Ill.), Martin Heinrich (N.M.), Mazie Hirono (Hawaii), Ben Ray Luján (N.M.), Tim Kaine (Va.), and Andy Kim (N.J.) voted in favor.
So did Ed Markey (Mass.), Jeff Merkley (Ore.), Chris Murphy (Conn.), Brian Schatz (Hawaii), Tina Smith (Minn.), Chris Van Hollen (Md.), Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) and Peter Welch (Vt.)."

Interestingly, Hawaii, Vermont, Massachusetts and New Mexico are the only states with 2 good Senators.

For those who remember

I had few qns to find someones stand on genocide

v1 was

* Are you Zionist?
* Do you condemn Zionism?

v2 is

* Do you condemn Jewish Nazism?
* Do you have relative/friend/family who live on stolen Palestinian land?

Based on response you can chose whether/not to scold

If moderator fails v2 test
⇒Has conflict of interest
⇒Can undermine Palestine supporters
⇒Moderator with no conflict should deal with Palestine posts

All mysteries resolved! It was an extremely embarrassing oversight: my code did not initalize the GPIO pins for CS, DC and RES. Along the way I also borrowed the init sequence from U8g2.

This board is now also fully functional! The creative phase can begin - it's coding all the way now.

why is spotify's accessibility so terrible??

you can't disable animated thumbnail previews in the stupid tiktokesque "trending podcasts" shelf, you can't change the UI scaling (on mobile at least), there's no light theme (or themes of any kind), no setting for "OLED black", you can't change the font...

the only accessibility settings are mono audio and disabling the animated "canvas" things that show up instead of album art.

hot take: if you're a multibillion dollar company, you app needs to have some kind of setting that means when i'm not interacting with anything, the entire app is still, aside from progress bars. even youtube gets this right (animated "doodle" logos notwithstanding...), and that's a video streaming platform! there is no reason for a music app to have looping five frame per second clips of podcasters laughing!!

it feels so demeaning when i have to cover the podcast shelf on the screen with my thumb just so i can read the names of the playlists on my homepage. just let me turn it off :(

Here are the 5 corporate Dems joining MAGA Republicans to pass HR 867, which would impose 20 years in prison & a $1 Million fine for participating in or supporting boycotts against the state of Israel

With the hype around endof10.org , I have a question about Linux as main OS.
I already know Linux quite well, but for my job mostly (programming). However I have almost no experience in using it for what I use on a personal side.

So:
- What's the state of gaming on Linux for very old Windows games?
- What about Photoshop and the Adobe suite in general? (Mostly for my wife who's an artist)
- Is there a non-Ubuntu Debian-based OS good enough for these usages other than Debian itself?

We expect this to need some time in the limelight in order to really find where the rough edges are. Feedback is welcome. We want to make Anubis the Web AI Firewall Utility of our dreams. It's a joy and honour to be able to make things that have real impact.

my first ever pull request to the language has been merged! 🎉

github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull

it's a documentation change to clarify how async blocks behave in regards to control flow. there was only one requested change, so i did a pretty good job of matching the tone and style of the other docs.

it was really easy to contribute once i found out how to use x.py. strangely enough, there doesn't seem to be an enforced line length limit (at least not for this section of the docs) so i just matched what the surrounding text was doing.

coincidentally, the contributor who reviewed my code is the same person who made the papaya crate i reported a memory safety bug in a month or two ago.

my changes are scheduled to land in rust 1.88, which should release on the 26th of june!

I was asked by a 20 year younger friend how my internet was back then. I needed a moment but then I told her the story of an IRC channel and how we made the day for a young girl who happened to be on our IRC channel. Because this is what my internet was like back then and I wish sometimes it still was like this. Let me tell the story:

I was 25, the channel members were like 20 to 30 years old. Somehow this young girl found her way to us. She was 14 when she joined the channel. >>

in its heyday, tumblr was a bastion of the old wive's tale. a sacred place where folk tales not only spread, but originated, with new and exciting factoids being written anew by teenagers whose ability to make up compelling yet mundane untruths was surpassed only by their love for toxic yaoi.

users with names like "sherlocks-left-pinky-finger-official" would authoritatively state that "good" came from the word "god" as a push by puritans in the 1700s to make americans mentally associate goodness with holiness, and "clark-kent-is-my-son" would reply "this makes sO MUCH SENSE I AM SCREAMING". then, someone would screenshot it and post it to internet mega funny dot net with the title "Mind. Blown." and that screenshot would circulate for seven years, becoming progressively more JPEGged.

if you can think of any cool and fun facts that you leaned from tumblr (either directly or via screenshot), consider googling it at some point. especially if that fact pertains to greek gods and/or historical figures that have appeared in the play Hamilton.

Friendly reminder. I know people like to put emojis of stuff they like or are interested in their display name, but when you’ve got more than 2 or 3 of them, it makes reading your posts with a screen reader really tedious because the screen reader also reads out the coded descriptions of all those emojis. It makes it take a while for your screen name to be read out even before getting to the text of your post. It makes reading your threads unendurable, no matter how important the content is.
