Even with close confirmation I sometimes close my terminal and think "OH FUCK NO." Coming soon to Ghostty, you can undo that. 🥰 (Technical details: we keep the terminal running for a configurable time in the background before terminating for real, similar to email undo send).

其實我覺得當代社會對男生還是有不少奇怪的刻板印象，因為從我還是魔術界新手的時候開始，就被學長姐要求重視形象，我大概從高中開始就因此養成了一天洗兩次澡（出門前跟回家）+用香水的習慣。
結果我跟觀眾或者是週遭親友聊到我這個習慣的時候，他們都直接沒有經過我本人同意就判定我是gay。
其實表演的時候聽到這種言論我會有點生氣，這比以貌取人更糟糕。

In Mastodon flavor ActivityPub, the webfinger's subject decides a user's displayed handle. The URLs used as IDs or the location of the "self" endpoint don't have to match the user at all. So then, what if webfingers resolved to DID URLs instead? ❤️🔥 CHAOS! ❤️🔥 #atproto #atdev #activitypub
The raw responses look like this. When you search for a user on Mastodon, it makes a webfinger request. My domain distraction.engineer use a Mastodon-style redirect (i.e. HTTP 301 + CORS), and the real PDS gets fingered instead (eww). Then self is fetched to find its endpoints. #atproto #atdev
Fine print: - yes this is running my own personal fork of the BlueSky PDS server ✅ - you can only view the profile data right now. Images were hardcoded for demonstration purposes ✨ - following or sending any messages to the user will not work (inbox rejects them) ❌

To be clear, this project is a "proof of concept". Exploring what's possible in a bridge between networks. It's something I'd love to have for @ludumdare.comLudum Dare, allowing me to post once and reach Bluesky and Mastodon users alike. Yes I'm familiar with "Bridgy", but I want something that feels native.
Currently on my "ActivityPub (Mastodon) support in the Bluesky PDS" code, I'm reworking the way responses are generated. I "properly" use the Lexicons to extract PDS data now, but that made my hardcoded AP response code look ugly. Also trying out at:// links for ids. #atdev

I wanted to get a picture of a puffin with the mountains in the background instead of the sea. Without a wide-angle lens, this was the best I could pull off lol. I'm still kind of proud of it, though.
