Hyaline @hyaline@hackers.pub

I hope someone can answer this question. @snarfed.org@fed.brid.gy maybe?

I find
pretty exciting but I'm unsure of something.

If I move an ActivityPub account from one platform/server to a new one, I can't use the old account anymore.

Is it the same with Bounce? If I move my social graph from Bluesky to ActivityPub, does my Bluesky account "shuts down" or can I still use it afterward?

I know, Bounce is not out yet, so maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I was wondering.

Finally home safe, and though I went to the liberal parade today it was still a weighty day.

It takes all kinds so I definitely don't want to tell the crowd -not- to do symbolic protests but fuck, I'm racked with angst rn.

It's reported that over 70,000 people marched in the anti-trump parade today.

Meanwhile in Tukwila only 200 people showed up to materially stop deportations. They tied up DHS, cops and ICE for the entire day.

Just 200 people.

Tukwila WA, a few miles south of Seattle local cops and federal agents faced off with activist. Cops deployed teargas and pepper spray which wafts in the background. A cop with pepper ball paint-ball gun stands pointing it at someone off screen. In the middle several officers forcefully shove or grab a person on the ground to detain them. A crowd of protesters stands in the background helping others to their feet

ICE agents cover their faces with gators, yet in Nassau County you can be arrested for wearing an N95.

It’s not about health. It’s not about crime. It’s about protecting the surveillance state and punishing people with disabilities.

Thankfully no one got arrested for masking, but the fact that an unidentified ICE agent hiding their entire face could legally detain you just for protecting your health is the height of fascism and eugenics.

Great reporting from Mother Jones

We need urgent community action to stop this incredibly ableist plan from moving forward.

The DOE has ruled that new federal buildings don’t have to meet accessibility standards.

That will mean many disabled people won’t be able to work in or access these places.

They’re literally excluding us from as many facets of life as possible, because they have a eugenics plan.

Call, email, speak out!

Accessibility is not a “nice to have”. It’s a legal right. It’s necessary for our survival.

Earlier this year, I sat down for an extended interview with Lex Friedman on a variety of topics in mathematics, proof formalization, and AI. The edited (and nicely illustrated) form of the video, clocking in at over three hours, is now available: youtube.com/watch?v=HUkBz-cdB-
