@dansup everyone i know who uses paypal (per your example) knows it's awful but rarely have alternative options because payment processors keep scaling back on what they allow. idk why tf you would expect people struggling in poverty or under the forces of fascism or genocide to know about some niche tech thing that they more than likely wouldnt be able to implement. why dont you spend your energy making that web monetization stuff accessible instead?

今天去高雄辦護照，幾週前就在網路上預約送件（是的今天只是去送件），幸好沒有預約到放颱風假的昨天。
現場是超級意外的人山人海，排隊辦護照的人潮滿出到梯間，不知道是因為暑假，還是因為大家都怕今年空白護照會用完，晚了就申辦不到。
我比預約的時間提早半小時抵達，在現場也是要點選KIOSK報到，最後在我預約的時間剛好排到臨櫃送件。對我說的謝謝，辦事人員還說「不客氣」，我有點感動（？），現場人潮這麼洶湧，她可能也會滿有壓力的，但她還禮貌地回應我。
