Working with <dialog> elements? 🤔

Don't use .close(), it ends the dialog immediately.

Use HTMLDialogElement.requestClose(), it fires a close event first, giving your app a chance to intercept it, useful for confirmation or animations.

I'd like to run a virtual smartphone somehow (preferably from my linux desktop) in order to run proprietary 2FA apps for banking and such. I'm looking for a setup that is reasonably stable and reliable. Anyone happen to have pointers to solutions? ʕ◜0ᴥ0ʔ

In June we announced our 2025-2028 strategic objectives initiatives. The third objective is "Broaden our footprint" to expand our reach to ensure a truly world-wide perspective.

Owing to promoting awareness of ethical behaviors on the web, we must increase relationships with policymakers and regulators to advise on technical aspects and ensure that our values are represented, and to ensure we understand their needs as they impact the work that we do.

⚠️ If you see a post or DM saying "your account is currently suspended for verification purposes", do NOT click on the link. It is a scam.

Fediverse servers do not ask people to verify their identity. There is an optional self-verification system, but that's just for those who want to use it. No one is ever asked to do it.

If you are in ANY doubt about ANY official-looking message, contact your own server's admin directly using their public email address on your server's website's "About" page.

Screenshot of the scam message, it says "Your account is currently suspended for verification purposes, action required, please proceed with the verification using the link below." followed by a link to a dubious website. This image has been overlaid with a red X and the caption "Fake, do not click!"
