Their work is part of a collaborative project with the Cree Nation of Wemindji to obtain legal recognition of a part of Wemindji's marine and terrestrial territory as a #biodiversity protected area.

After the carefully maintained #Kokedera temple site was abandoned in the twelfth century, forest developed on the site, with a remarkable cover of mosses (120 species) carpeting the forest floor. Currently, this forest is particularly revered, as are, in other contexts, sacred forests from tropical regions that can constitute #biodiversity reserves in areas where the original forests have almost disappeared.

The [Ophir] award for best film, as well as five other prizes, was given to “Hayam”, a film about a 12-year-old Palestinian boy from the occupied West Bank who wants to travel to Tel Aviv to see the sea for the first time.
Winning best film means it will now automatically become Israel’s entry for the Academy Awards in the international film category next year.

tootgroup.py offers group functionality for Mastodon, Pleroma, GotoSocial and probably others (albeit untested). All you need is an account that acts as your group and some computer running Python that regularily connects to it.
Its written by me, easy, lightweight and most importantly, not dependant on a third party service.

open for weird game boy
this is my prototype for a game boy on a bus backplane, inspired (obviously) by the rc2014 and https://smallcomputercentral.com/ (among others). the backplane connectors break out every pin of the Game Boy SoC (the DMG CPU, to be specific), so you can pop in/remove cards that interface with any gb peripherals, or plug into the address/data buses directly. in the 2nd photo i'm using a pico 2 to convert the game boy's video out to ascii (to send over serial for debugging purposes)
