Good morning. Starlink has now launched more than TEN THOUSAND satellites into orbit. Nearly 1400 have already been burned up in the atmosphere so far.
Here's a "lovely" image from my Kuiper Belt discovery program with dozens of satellite streaks in a 3 hour stacked exposure from CFHT. This was from 2022, when there were thousands fewer satellites... This is dumb.

laut sein hilft! Gestern Abend legte das BMAS ein Papier vor, laut dem die Vermieter zumindest dort ins Visier genommen werden sollen, wo die Mietpreisbremse gilt. Das ist gut! Die Presseanfrage von letzter Woche an das BMAS hat noch Gegenteiliges ergeben, nämlich, dass den Mietenden das Geld gekürzt werde soll.
Auf dieser Kritik beruht der Text. Sie ist weiterhin berechtigt, denn die Mietpreisbremse gilt nicht überall und somit werden nicht alle Menschen vor den Konsequenzen der Senkung der Mietkosten geschützt sein.
Ausserdem soll die Karenzzeit doch erstmal weiter gelten, zumindest bis zum anderthalb fachen der Angemessenheitsgrenze. Das ist zwar eine Verschlechterung gegenüber dem Status Quo, aber natürlich besser, als das sofortige vollständige Wegflallen der Karenzzeit.
Fazit: ohne die laute Kritik an dem Quadratmeterdeckel und der Streichung der Karenzzeit, wäre beides womöglich einfach durch gegangen.
