Did some bhyve experimenting a couple weeks ago. Got FreeBSD installed just fine. Debian with ZFS, not so much.

So this week it's go back, one step at a time. Install base debian with grub, does it work? Then UEFI, then ZFS secondary disk, then root on ZFS.

This morning's install ends with a console saying:

The Debian installer wrote grub to disk, but... didn't configure it? Huh.

Time for some classic #sysadmin headdesking.

나는 필름 사진을 안 한다고 말은 하면서, 디지털로 필름을 추종하고 있는 게 아닌가? 라는 생각을 한다. 정확히는 인간 시각 인지에 맞는 현상을 추구하면서 그게 이미 선조...들의 필름 기술과 비슷해지는, 그 지향점과 같은 방향으로 가고 있는 게 아닌가 하고 있음.

부분 보정을 잘 안 하기도 하고. 이 것도 부자연스러워지는 걸 싫어해서 최소화하고 있는 것. (뇌에서 내용을 처리한) 기억된 장면을 생각한다면 하는 게 더 자연스러울 수도 있는데, 지금은 안 하는 편이 낫다고 생각함. 이건 빛의 상의 기록이라는 생각인데, 흠... 이 것도 필름과 비슷한 방향이라면 방향이지.

If we think of code as a tool for expressing a collective understanding a shared problem in a way that’s culturally durable - and sure, maybe I’m the only person who does, fine - then containerization works against a collective social goal while accepting a dependency on corporate cloud provisioning.

Taking that argument a small step further gives me, at least, this observation: containerization counts as complying in advance.
