Took a quick look at my monthly expenses, and it’s not looking great. My #PeerTube instance @spectraSpectra Video is getting into the $400 per month range, accounting for overages in Object Storage and Network transfer.

My first thought is that it may be time to look at more sustainable hosting options. Alternatively , I might have to start setting caps on how much storage any account can use before being required to pay for more. Neither prospect feels great. 😞

The community has been amazing for monthly donations, but our rate of growth has rapidly outpaced contributions…

Important new paper using the staggered geographic rollout of LLM tools within Change.org to demonstrate that they didn't improve (and overall slightly harmed) outcomes, while making the petitions themselves more homogeneous in language use. This has now been documented in other studies as well, adding further weight to the claim that these tools have limited or negative value in the vast majority of applications arxiv.org/abs/2511.13949

it just occurred to me that we should not be mad about the epstein ballroom. we should be glad it will be finished before the end of his term. it’s probably a very cheap remodel away from being the *perfect* size and shape of venue for some Nuremberg trials, and they wouldn’t have fit in the east wing as it previously was designed

It has been an exceptional 2025 when it comes to what GNOME has delivered. Let’s help the Foundation reach 1,500 Friends of GNOME by the end of the year to be able to deliver even more in 2026!

Hi . We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague it came up that they have never sat on a cow. Like, not even once in their childhood.

Another colleague listening in admitted they also have never sat on a cow.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a cow.

🐃 🐄 🐮

Have you sat on a cow?

Please boost for scientific accuracy.
