After Calibre betrayed readers and writers alike, it's clear to me that something as essential as personal archival of book libraries should not be a burden placed on a single individual — my hope is that by starting with the governance, we can build enough robustness to support a long-term Calibre fork.
I am so stubborn about not using AI.
You have no idea.
I will even go as far as writing my own texts, drawing my own images, writing my own code, and reading the whole article or email just by myself. Crazy stuff.

Hear, hear! I can do most things faster "by hand" than by trying to get "help" from AI. Just give me paper and writing/drawing tools!

This isn't really very spicy, and I'm not suggesting that Microsoft are trying to blame curl for Microsoft's previously-insufficient security controls. I knew curl shipped with Windows for quite a few years now, but I guess I hadn't realized (or had never considered) that Invoke-WebRequest is more or less a curl wrapper.
I am weeping. This essay broke my heart but also gave me real hope.
