Still a great idea to hold conferences in the US. Furthermore, nobody could have predicted this 12 or 18 months ago, so it’s entirely reasonable to continue with plans that were made in 2024
if you want to learn how to make something really successful, you can read up on the success of others. how did the software company come to dominate? founder's dad was a specialist in corporate and technology law. how did the band get so many hits? frontman had been a music journalist. how did the acclaimed game secure funding? writer worked at a private equity firm. simply be these people and you will be successful

In case some people didn't know, for visa applications to the US that info was always required. We EU-ians are just now getting same treatment as people who needed visas (so most of the world).

The coolest thing when you are learning a language is the moment where you try to translate a word and suddenly realize you're struggling because it's easier to think that concept in the other language's word now
The project management triangle is commonly summarised as: "Good, fast, cheap. Choose 2."
My software version is slightly different. Instead I’d say:
"High quality, full scope, delivery date. Choose 2."
The only way to not have 2 is demanding all three (and usually ending up with 1 or 0).
