【力神-男士保健品專家特約】南韓總統李在明周二（16日）指示政府研究，是否將脫髮治療納入公共醫療保險保障範圍，形容脫髮對年輕人而言已由單純美容問題，演變成影響自信、求職及心理健康的「生存問題」。他於保健福祉部政策簡報會上指出，不少青年長期繳交保費卻未能受惠，容易產生被制度排斥的感受，建議相關部門研究放寬保障，甚至可考慮設置報銷次數或金額上限，以減輕財政壓力。
南韓現行全民醫保制度僅涵蓋因醫學原因引致的脫髮，例如斑禿，常見的男性型脫髮治療則未獲保障。官方數據顯示，去年至少有24萬人因脫髮求醫，當中四成為40歲以下人士。有年輕患者指出，髮量減少與髮線後移已嚴重打擊自信。
不過，政府內部對此仍有保留。保健福祉部部長鄭銀敬表示，現行制度未有將遺傳性脫髮納入醫保，原因在於其與醫學治療的直接關聯性相對有限。對此，李在明回應指，這涉及對遺傳疾病的定義與理解，認為仍有討論空間。
