TL;DR: AI companies make tools for hurting people and we don’t want to support that.

AI is now a tool for firing people, in a time when getting re-employed is especially difficult and being unemployed can be life-threatening. We don’t want to be part of that. Until this is fixed we won’t use AI in our work, nor integrate it into Yarn Spinner for others to use.

We don’t want to support the companies making these tools or normalise their behaviour. So we don’t.

I see the CEO of NVIDIA has noticed that many credible and intelligent people are pointing out the inaccuracies, ethical risks, economic and workforce disruption, and increased environmental impact of indiscriminate use of AI, and he says this is mean and irreparably hurts his corporate feelings.

I need to go through my C&H collection books again. Or maybe actually buy the ones I don't yet have. I was introduced to "Kalle och Hobbe" as a child in Sweden, when they were heavily featured in Serieparaden - a magazine that issued collections of popular comic strips, translated into Swedish.

iPadOS와 macOS 26 한동안 써봤는데 Liquid Glass는 그냥 실패작이 맞는 것 같다.

  • 👍 신기하긴 하다.
  • 👎 가독성 재앙. 결국 애플도 이걸 인정했는지 버전업할수록 효과를 죽이는 선택지를 넣기 시작함
  • 👎 그래서인지 어느정도 쓰다보면 딱히 신경쓰이지도 않음. 결국 GPU 연산력만 낭비함
  • 👎 릴리즈된지 한잠 지났지만 도입된 어플리케이션도 손에 꼽을 정도로 적음. 특히 내 macOS 환경에서는 기본앱 말고 도입한 앱은 단 하나도 못 본듯
  • 👎 본질적으로 이게 사용자 경험에 무슨 가치를 더하는지 모르겠음. 그냥 전형적인 form over function.

Supongo que debido a que la gente dejó de usar la app tras el anuncio y los inversores perdieron rápido esa confianza. Aviso de que no soy economista y esta interpretación bien podría estar equivocada. Pero vaya, tampoco creo que haga falta ser licenciado para darse cuenta de esta correlación.

사이게임즈는 AI 개발도구용 자회사 만들었고, 소니는 게임/애니에 자체 개발 AI 적극 활용하겠다고 발표도 했음. Klab은 AI 가수 레이블도 만들었고. 이미 속도에서 밀리는거 아닌가. 하다못해 일본회사 대비해서도. 한국 게임 회사 중에 버튜버 적극적으로 돌리는 회사 하나 없는게 제일 신기했다.
