Biblical Ties to an Unreachable Realm


Guillen draws on Edwin Hubble’s 1929 discovery that galaxies recede from Earth faster the farther they are, like fragments from an explosion. This expansion reaches a limit where distant objects move at light speed, 186,000 miles per second, marking the cosmic horizon, about 273 billion trillion miles away.

The scientist connects this to biblical descriptions of heaven as existing in three levels: Earth’s atmosphere, outer space, and a highest realm where God resides. Scriptures often portray God looking ‘down’ from above while humans gaze ‘up,’ aligning with the horizon’s position at the universe’s edge. Einstein’s special relativity bars mortals from crossing, as only light and non-material entities reach such speeds, halting time at the boundary.

Science of the Unseen Realm


Modern cosmology describes the cosmic horizon, often called the event horizon, as a boundary roughly 16 billion light-years away in comoving distance. Beyond it, light emitted today will never reach Earth due to the universe’s accelerating expansion driven by dark energy. This horizon arises from general relativity and Big Bang cosmology. While the particle horizon marks what we can see from the past (about 46 billion light-years), the event horizon limits future observations, rendering regions forever inaccessible as space itself expands faster than light.

Dr Guillen theorises that this hidden realm beyond the horizon holds a full universe, invisible to us and potentially predating the observable universe’s oldest structures, like those near the cosmic microwave background from 380,000 years post-Big Bang. At the horizon, time effectively stops per relativity, creating timelessness suited only for light-like, non-material entities, while space persists, making it theoretically habitable by such beings.​​​

Alex Pretti’s family, including his parents Michael and Susan, released a statement saying they’re heartbroken but also very angry after he was killed, describing their son as a kindhearted soul who wanted to make a difference in the world through his work as a nurse.

“The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting,” it said.

“I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.”

Judge issues order to preserve evidence after protester gunned down

Eric Tostrud, US District Judge, has issued a temporary order blocking federal agencies from “destroying or altering evidence related to the fatal shooting” in of Alex Pretti.

The order was issued on Saturday and included anything removed from the scene where the killing took place.

Chris Van Hollen, a US senator from Maryland, issued a blistering attack on the White House following the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti.

In a post, Van Hollen said President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller have “blood on their hands”.

“These killings are happening at their direction. They must be held accountable,” he said, adding federal funds for ICE need to be cut off.

주말에 상나라 정벌을 읽었다. 역사 대중서는, 학계의 연구결과를 읽기 쉽게 전달하거나, 그 시대상을 상상력으로 그려내거나 하는데 이 책은 연구 결과는 너무 세밀하게 늘어 놓고, 시대상과 사람들에 대해선 너무 많고 거칠게 상상으로 채워 넣었다. 중국 고대사의 시오노 나나미라고 하기엔 연구를 보는 전문가인 점은 낫지만 그만큼 인물들을 매력적으로 그려내지는 못했다. 내 평가는, 역사학 박사가 쓴 500 페이지에 달하는 역사 덕질 동인지.

물론 재미있었고, 중국 고대사의 고고학적 발견들에 대한 자세한 정리는 도움이 되었지만, 그 많은 자료가 결국 서주 건국과 공자 덕질용 밑밥에 불과했다니, 작가 양반...;

저번 비건 모임 때 한 얘긴데 나 청소년기에... 한 15~16 이 때쯤에 내가 트젠인가 싶어서 검색을 했었음 근데 '진짜 트젠'은 남자가 '되고 싶다'라고 생각하지 않고 '나는 이미 남자다'라고 생각한다는 글을 봐버렸고 나는 전자였기 때문에 난 그럼 트젠이 아닌가봐 하고 넘어감 근데 한 십 년 후에 결국 트젠이 맞단 결론을 냄 내 정체화만 늦어짐 진짜 어쩌구하면서 진정성 따지는 게 이렇게 해롭다
