This petition wants contributing to Free Software to be legally and officially recognized as volunteering in Germany on the same level as youth work or ambulance service:

openpetition.de/petition/onlin

This would bring fiscal and funding advantages for FLOSS organizations and the volunteers themselves.

If you are a German citizen, please sign the petition and let's get our volunteers the recognition they deserve!

Internet shutdowns make Internet fragmentation real. They’re not technically hard, and they’re becoming normal. Using Iran as a case study, this post looks at how shutdowns work, why they’re increasing, and what they mean for identity, platforms, and global interoperability.

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, condemned Israel's decision to terminate Doctors Without Borders (MSF) operations in the Gaza Strip after the group refused to hand over a list of its Palestinian staff.

She stressed that Israel has no authority over Gaza, yet continues to impose “conditions of life” that endanger civilians. Albanese warned that dismantling what remains of Gaza's medical system, including emergency services like MSF, ensures that those who survive bombardment and sniper fire are left without the care needed to stay alive.

Since liquid glass I keep seeing stuff basically framing Apple as "they were once the good guys but now they have forsook all their principles and become the bad guys" and like. Apple was always the bad guys though lol
