지금 해보고 있는 작업 과정에서 optique, optparse-applicative 같은 류의 커맨드라인 파서의 (개인적으로) 신기한 점을 알게 되었다. --server 가 있을 때 --server-port 도 함께 require할 수 있게 의존 관계를 표현할 수 있다, 같은 느낌에서 "와" 였었는데 오늘 알게 된 것은 같은 옵션을 상황에 따라 다르게 쓸 수 있다는 점이었다.

예를 들자면 --server가 있을 때 -P의 의미가 --port의 short option이라고 할 때 --server가 없을 때 -P의 의미가 --program^[1]의 short option이 될 수도 있다. 이렇게 -P가 여러 의미를 가지게 되는 것이 좋은가 같은 이야기와 별개로 신기했다.

Thinking about design of a potential issue-tracker/code-review tool for @gothub and trying to account for the fact that allowing text to be entered into a website is becoming increasingly dangerous these days with way too much potential for spam and abuse by bots.

Currently our web UI is entirely read-only and perhaps there is value in keeping it that way?
This means communication needs to happen out of band somehow. Currently we don't offer anything. We should at least offer mailing lists to offer at least one way for projects to communicate. But mailing lists are a poor medium for keeping a structured, persistent, and searchable record of information about a software project. On the other hand letting anyone add arbitrary information is becoming a nightmare for both us as a hosting provider and our users who maintain public projects.

I end up asking myself what if the only way to have information show up on a project's main web presence was if a project maintainer pulled data from a git repository of someone who wants to report an issue or add review comments. Would that cause too much friction?

I saw yet another “CSS is a massively bloated mess” whine and I’m like. My dude. My brother in Chromium. It is trying as hard as it can to express the totality of visual presentation and layout design and typography and animation and digital interactivity and a few other things in a human-readable text format. It’s not bloated, it’s fantastically ambitious. Its reach is greater than most of us can hope to grasp. Put some *respect* on its *name*.

People don’t really see change on the ground after the “ceasefire”. They are still waiting for humanitarian aid, and they still don’t have any source of income. Their tents are ruined and not suitable for them to continue the summer that is coming, after they have been flooded during the winter months.

중국지분 1만 들어가도 중국기업이다 라고 말하고 싶고, 중국에서 만들면 중국회사차다 라고 말하고 싶어서 죽고싶은 사람들 중에 유독 테슬라만 아무말 안하는 이유는 아마도 미국 버전의 단차 문제 때문이 아닐까 한다. 이런 사람들이 매번 중국에서 만드는 차에 문제 삼는 것 중 하나가 완성도나 마감 때문이었는데, 놀랍게도 미국산 테슬라는 그런 말도 나오지 못할 정도로 끔찍했기 때문이다. 물론 그와는 별개로 이제 중국 생산차의 완성도 안전성은 어디 내놓아도 꿀리지 않는 상태가 되었다.
