I know that nowadays this is not such a big deal anymore, but as someone who first installed in 1997 (Red Hat 4.2), it's still a bit crazy to me that I can just set up a desktop, install Steam, download a game from my library, and start playing. And every piece of hardware I have just works, including the Switch Pro Controller I use for PC gaming.

When things get crazy, your normal habitat just isn't it. Bed and sofa are for normal times.

Crazy times require:

- Drinking pickle juice on the floor in front of a heater
- Eating olives while laying on the kitchen island
- Listening to murder mysteries on the bathroom floor with the shower water freely falling right over your head

Die Psychiatrie-Abteilung des Klinikums Schwarzach (Pongau) will Fachärzte künftig etwa per Video zuschalten. Wegen fehlendem Personal ist die Abteilung ja seit einem Monat an Wochenenden geschlossen. Das Land lud deshalb auch zum Runden Tisch. Ärzte per Video ist eine Sofortmaßnahme.

is there a critique of that Knuth article? lots of people are gushing about it just b/c it's him, but I'm not familiar enough with its subject matter to tell if it's legit. however, stuff like this feels really off:

"Filip Stappers tested Claude’s Python program for all odd m between 3 and 101, finding perfect decompositions each time. Thus he concluded, quite reasonably, that the problem was indeed solved for odd values of m."

like, that's not how maths works
