Imagine the optics of letting go of everyone and your last remaining person working on critical infra goes on LinkedIn to say they had to talk to leadership and let them know why he canโ€™t do his job without the people they let go, so they decide to re-hire these people

Imagine talking to people before you let go of everyone

The optics of talking about this so publicly also points to there being no trust of Blockโ€™s leadership by people who remain. I hope everyone who gets re-hired asks for at least 100% more money

Screenshot of an engineer at block saying he was the last remaining person working on critical infra for square and weebly and how he had to beg leadership to rehire some people

Tomorrow I've a bit of time, so I was really looking forward to some troubleshooting on this TOMCAT286 board, which supports 25Mhz 286 CPU's (crashes in a few seconds). Got everything setup, then disaster, notice there's nothing on the oscilloscope (connected to the clock pin ๐Ÿ˜ž

@sophSophia J. Turner

The funniest outcome for sure is that the resulting ruling would make all software defacto illegal.

"To the maintainers of this open-source project. We are the big co legal department. We would like to get your written sign-off that no 'AI assistive tooling' has ever been used in this project. It is important for our supply chain. We expect a reply within 5 days."

If anything AI has touched becomes devoid of legal protections, then that would probably implode the tech sector overnight.

Hiya! Anyone in the SF Bay Area/Remote need a cool programmer for your team? I've been messing with computers for over 30 years now, I can program anything with bits, and I've got a lot of experience with all sorts of different systems, environments, and languages.
I've done mostly CI/CD/devops/SRE stuff recently, but I also do embedded software, some hardware, primary development, tooling, etc.

Emergency responders shouldn't be forced to play nanny for self-driving cars. Any of them that misbehaves should be impounded and the company responsible for these cars heavily fined (not returning the car until fine is paid). Any vehicle with multiple violations should be confiscated and scrapped as they've proven to be unsafe.

After a nine month hiatus, I have recorded another Lean formalization video, this time using the Claude Code agent to formalize the same informal proof I had recorded doing with Github Copilot and canonical last year. youtu.be/JHEO7cplfk8
