My current thinking is that in order to make a resolution independent UI toolkit one must first have a resolution independent drawing library?
The things I've found on that were algorithms based on device independent pixels.
Is that still actually the state of the art?
My primary design constraint is that I want the scaling to be zero cost when there's no actual scaling happening.
Can anyone point me to some good books/posts on the subject?

Human review is a limited control gap in the system of pushing changes to a production system and has limited utility in preventing errors.
Most empirical studies I’ve read seem to agree that human code review has a marginal effect on error rates that disappears of the reviewer had read a couple hundred SLOC in the last hour.
CEOs aren’t engineers and most software developers aren’t either, IMO. Liability is very screwy in our industry.
Making developers sign off on changes they can’t even hope to vet is a disaster waiting to happen.

@emilianosandri probably not. One of the reasons why it's taking so long is that the damage wasn't immediately visible, so we (all) had to wait - hoping it could be minimal. But as weeks pass, the situation is getting worse. Now that it's clear that it's a huge problem, they don't want to pay.
Two lawyers I know (I don't like them that much, but this time I agree with them) say that insurance companies are among the worst entities you can deal with.
@stefanoStefano Marinelli I never dealt with insurance companies too much but I can imagine, one of the reasons why I'm thankful for socialized (for yet) healthcare is because dealing with such companies when they can decide on your life or death is a terrible prospect.

난 맥북도 싱크패드도 별로 좋아하지 않는데, 디스플레이 붙은 기기는 자기 주장이 강하면 안 된다고 보기 때문이다. 매끈한 금속도, 시꺼먼 플라스틱도 내가 화면 보고 작업할 때 방해가 된다. 익숙해지면 괜찮다고 하지만, "밋밋한 기계"와 비교하면 그래도 차이가 있다. 꺼졌을 때는 가볍고, 켰을 때는 눈에 띄지 않는 게 좋다. 델, hp 노트북이 이런 계열이었는데 맥북 따라한다고 꽤 화려해져서 불만이다.

Ein großer Berg ist abgearbeitet. Ich habe alle eure Shop-Einreichungen geprueft, insgesamt über 200! Ich werde hier und da bei einigen Shops noch an den Details feilen, aber das Gros ist geschafft.
Wenn euch dieses Projekt gefällt und ihr evtl. sogar nutzt, dann freue ich mich, wenn ihr es weitersagt und verbreitet. Ich glaube, Viele teilen momentan den gemeinsamen Gedanken von "Support your Locals" (und die Kleinen natürlich auch).
Habt ihr Anregungen in Sachen Bedienung, Funktionalität etc., dann lasst es mich wissen. Ich notiere mir alles und mache mir Gedanken.
