London Camera Exchange has announced the winners of its competition. Nearly 14,500 entries were received, demonstrating the contest’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s leading competitions for photographers of all abilities and experience. The competition has 14 categories.

Fish eyes by Sophia Spurgin was the overall winner.



Fish eyes – overall winner The overall first prize winner is Sophia Spurgin, a UK-based retired teacher, with her humorous portrait of a fisher captured spontaneously on a boat in Hoi An, Vietnam. そういえば、昨日のNHKホール、バービーボーイズも出演、「四肢完全麻痺」で車椅子のコンタさん、いまみちともたかさんと喫煙所で少し話が出来た。ステージも、コンタさんの「歌いたい」という思いが詰まった、素晴らしいものだった。正直、バービーボーイズというバンドの音楽は余り知らなかったのだが、30年ほど前、ヴォーカルに男女2人がいる、というただそれだけの理由で、ソウル・フラワー・ユニオンはよく“悪意のあるバービーボーイズ”とか“悪魔版バービーボーイズ”とか言われたのであった笑笑。今後のバービーボーイズ、応援してます。

for example this part. spotify inline translation changes structure and imo meaning too the youtube translation is more literal: wild and endless sea the eternal song has no way out or my forgiveness which is maybe also a bit confusing but preserving original grammar maybe helps in this case?

i think double subtitles really are the way for these albums so the concept of the youtube lyric videos is great. but the mechanics imo worked better in spotify that shows them inline (with occasional line swaps for grammar) the problem is i think spotify’s translations are not fully accurate?

i’m getting a bit deeper into LUX but i’m not a huge fan of the art direction of the subtitle videos. if i understand correctly, the english cc translations are vetted (which is great!) but the imo excessive styling makes it difficult to track both languages (original and subtitled) at the same time
