I am trying to figure out how to improve running uphill (and down), both faster and more economical.
What I understood so far is that low cadence will demand more muscle power while high cadence more “heart” power. I also read here and there that 90 spm might be the magic number.
When I check the numbers on my last 10 weeks runs, I run with high cadence (higher than 90).
Any recommendations or word of advice from more experience runners on running uphill?
Update on #Nautilism, my Godot sailing game! I have refactored the wave code and made some more under-the-hood tweaks. I also set up a #GitLab #CI pipeline to automatically build the game and host the builds on #gitlabpages. How to subscribe to a thread?
Several days ago FEP-efda: Followable objects was published. I don't like this solution because ActivityPub spec only talks about "following" in the context of actors, and the proposed "proxy-following" mechanism forces us to change some well-established practices.
So here is an alternative: FEP-f06f: Object observers.
Object observer is an actor that can be followed to receive object updates. If conversation thread is a collection, its observer will broadcast Add and Remove activities that have thread collection as their target. Observer's followers will have an up-to-date view of the thread.

Can't even put into words how excited I am right now.
It's frickin' cold but I'm out for the second night out with clear skies this week.. Imaging #pleiades tonight.
Polar alignment was a bit tricky at first, but worked well in the end.
Getting the small kit zoom lens of my camera to somewhat decent focus was more of a fight.

Normalize being confused, out of the loop. Clueless, even.
Good health is a temporary privilege. Some people get to enjoy it for most of their lives. Others for a shorter time, or not at all. If you're healthy now, and it's *possible for you to mask up to protect others, but you don't, you're either an asshole, or a short-sighted fool.
Even if there *weren't* another pandemic starting, if you live long enough, your health will deteriorate so you'll need others to protect you. If you don't help normalize that behavior today, why do you expect other people will take care of you when you need it?
*Acquiring masks won't keep you from eating or paying rent.

And, this often ends up filling up the storage drive
