💡 Acht Abteilungen, rund 310 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter: Das ist das #Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg. An seiner Spitze
steht eine Präsidentin oder ein Präsident mit Sitz in #Stuttgart. Sechs Archivabteilungen sind für die Übernahme, Bearbeitung und Bereitstellung des Archivguts zuständig. Zwei Abteilungen nehmen verschiedene übergreifende Dienstleistungen wahr.

Die Geschichte der #Archive, die heute im Landesarchiv unter einem Dach vereint sind, reicht bis in das #Mittelalter zurück. Insgesamt verwahrt das Landesarchiv rund 175.000 Regalmeter analoges und über 114 Terabyte digitales Archivgut sowie rund 154.000 Regalmeter Grundbuchunterlagen. Es ist damit das Gedächtnis für das schriftliche Kulturgut des Landes Baden-Württemberg.

I’m a programmer by profession, and I’m interested in programming languages, the practice of software engineering, the history and future of computing, and permacomputing / frugal computing. Ever since a PhD student introduced me to the idea, stolonization has been haunting my waking hours. Now it can haunt yours too: some annelid worms develop a gamete-filled structure (stolon), which detaches and swims to find a mate. Some stolons have eyes, antennae, and nervous system 🤯

While designed for individual users, it's fully federated through ActivityPub, allowing interaction with users across the fediverse. #Hollo implements Mastodon-compatible APIs, making it compatible with most Mastodon clients without needing its own web interface.

Hollo also serves as our testing ground for bleeding-edge Fedify features before they're officially released.

BotKit

BotKit (@botkitBotKit by Fedify ) is our newest family member—a framework specifically designed for creating ActivityPub bots. Unlike traditional Mastodon bots, #BotKit creates standalone ActivityPub servers that aren't constrained by platform-specific limitations (like character counts).

BotKit's API is intentionally simple—you can create a complete bot in a single TypeScript file!

All three projects are open source and hosted under the @fedify-dev GitHub organization. While they serve different purposes, they share common goals: making ActivityPub development more accessible and expanding the fediverse ecosystem.

흥겨울 흥(興)이라는 글자 때문인지 제한적인 의미가 되는 느낌도 있고요. 이를테면 “저는 노동권을 보장받지 못하는 노동자의 현실에 (감정적인) 관심이 있어요”를 일본어의 용례대로 “흥미가 있어요”라고 해버리면 ‘뭐야, 이 사이코패스는‘ 같은 인상을 줘 버릴 것 같단 말이죠.

흥미가 있다는 말은 어째선지 한국어 구어체에서 자주 사용되는 단어는 아니란 인상이 있어요

한자어(漢字語)는 한일간의 공통적인 문화의 하나이며 이 공통점은 지금도 한자를 많이 쓰는 일본인들이 한국말을 공부하는 데 많이 도움이 된다. 하지만 한일간에 공통적으로 쓰이는 한자어 중에는 조금씩 뜻이나 사용 방법이 다른 단어도 있어 주의해야 한다.
예를 들면 흥미(興味/きょうみ)와 관심(関心/かんしん)도 그 중 하나다.
한국에서는 '나한테 관심 좀 가져'라든가 '저는 먹는 데 관심이 많아요' 같이 말하지만 일본에서는 関心 대신 興味를 더 많이 넓은 장면에서 사용한다.
왜냐하면 일본어 関心은 무언가에 대해 이성적, 논리적으로 관심을 가지고 있다는 뜻이며 감정적으로 관심이 있는 경우에는 興味를 사용하기 때문이다.
예를 들면 韓国に関心がある(한국에 関心이 있다)라고 하면 대한민국의 역사나 문화,정치 등에 대해 학문적인 관점에서 관심이 있는 느낌이고 韓国に興味がある(한국에 興味가 있다)라고 하면은 한국을 좋아해서, 호감이 있어서 관심이 있다는 느낌이다.
물론 일본인도 이런 차이를 정확하게 가리겨서 쓰고 있지는 않지만 関心이라는 말에는 조금 전문적인 느낌이 든다.
