(comptime)

It is literally impossible to explain ADHD task avoidance to people who don't experience it, I think.

It has to sound absolutely insane to just sit around, filled with dread and anxiety, not doing a small thing you "could do any time" that really needs to get done. And to just continue that way for hours, days, weeks, months, even fucking years.

Like, who lives that way? How can anyone live that way? (I live that way, but I don't know how I survive)

These days when someone (a person, a company, a standards body…) talks about a simple protocol to do something I get suspicious that what they actually mean is an overly-simplified protocol to do that thing where, if successful, it will be the backbone of that domain in 20 years and also a horrible mess full of hacks necessary to work around its initial oversimplifications.

I made a horribly hackey and quick election forecast model last night for and this is what I came up with.

It doesn't take into account demographic or candidate adjustments, and it's almost certainly underestimating NDP and GPC seats, but it backtests well 😅

I'll post some insights I've found over the course of the night, as well as updated projections as ridings get called.

Mute the thread or the hashtag to shut me up.

LPC 191±4
CPC 132±4
BQ 19±2
NDP 1±1
GPC 0±1
