I am happy with my dinky little ThinkPad running Linux. I am happy with my dinky little homemade LISP which I am currently transforming into a macro system for assembly language.

I feel like maybe, if the world could stop distracting me with new horrible things, I could sit on my dinky little ThinkPad, and work on my dinky little homemade LISP, and I could play a bit of "Tetris: The Grand Master", and I could have a day where I just really, unreservedly enjoy myself.

Maybe it will be tomorrow.

The @frameworkcomputerFramework :fedora: :ubuntu: Laptop 12 might be the most repair-friendly laptop we’ve ever opened. Seriously. It’s shockingly easy to take apart, and for a touchscreen convertible, that’s rare. It earned a 10/10 on our repairability scale thanks to clever engineering choices:

- Screwless SSD clip.
- Cable-free battery removal.
- Clearly labeled mainboard.
- QR codes on every major part.

We tore it down. You can fix it up.

A randomly arranged flat lay of disassembled Framework Laptop 12 components, including the motherboard, cooling fan, RAM, battery, camera module, ports, tools, and lavender-colored case pieces. The scene is brightly lit on a white background.

please boost as it is semi-important

So I want to change my legal name and gender this year; I first want to do the changes in the Netherlands as it's easier for me for various reasons, but that also means carrying over the changes to the Polish side as I am still a citizen of that country.

However moving over the changes also means adjusting my last name to make the ending match my new legal gender (as yes. plenty of last names are gendered. it's stupid.) - and I don't know how the Dutch side will handle that change?

Is there any procedure for such a small change in the BRP? There's little available information for that, and it pisses me off that despite the amount of Polish (and Slavic in general) migrants in this country the civic servants are still ignorant to how our last names work... :blobcatfacepalm:

At today during , Adriana Groh made several insightful comments during the panel “The Role of Open Source in Digital Public Infrastructure”:

"At the , we focus on the software that developers need to develop software. We call that 'infrastructure,' which is a different understanding to what many hear when we talk about . Both things are extremely important and exist at the same time. We need to understand how they are connected..."
