And it is about breaking free from subscriptions and from big tech which is #enshittifying like there is no tomorrow.
Go #selfhosted the way you see fit. In small steps, one platform at a time - or with a head first dive if you are feeling adventurous. Share your experiences, write a blog about it, create a video or post about it on the Fediverse.
It most definitely is not too late to revolt. To give big tech the middle finger. Firmly stand your ground. Be a rebel.

Mastodon 4.4, now available, has a small setting that’s a big deal. See Administration/Server Settings/Discovery, “Allow external sites to see your Mastodon server as a traffic source”.
It means that every time you post a link to a site, that site is going to see as many hits as the number of instances that you have followers on, and those hits are going to be labeled as coming from Mastodon.
This is going to seriously increase Fediverse visibility. Get your instance admin to turn it on!

First of all, trans women need a couple routine check-ups. To some degree, they are the same check-ups cis women are recommended to do. Yes, most trans women don't have a cervix or an uterus, but you basically don't know and it's not your business. There are intersex people. Also, it doesn't matter too much whether there's an uterus and/or cervix or not. What matters is whether there are cancer cells or not. Early cancer detection can be live-saving.

With statements like "Trans women shouldn't see a gynaecologist, this is absurd because there's no uterus", you deny them basic health care measures.
Well, this at least is something I don't have to worry about 😂
